Story
Meet Nox — your new little shadow with big ears and an even bigger heart! This sleek, petite gentleman is a 2-year-old, 16-pound rat terrier mix with a personality as bright as his shiny coat. Nox is the perfect size for couch snuggles or strolls around the neighborhood. Nox is what we call an “all-in-one companion” — he’s great with cats, kids, and dogs, and he’s just as happy living the high-rise life in an apartment as he is in a single-family home. He’s playful, affectionate, and always up for fun — but when the day winds down, he’s happiest curling up by your side. And those radar ears? They don’t miss a beat. Nox is ready to tune into your frequency and bring endless joy, laughter, and love to your home. Ready to make Nox part of your family? Story
Meet Morsel, a gentle young adult whose world hasn’t always been kind. She came from a severe hoarding case, and because of that, she’s still learning that people, homes, and love can be safe. Morsel is very shy and skittish, and she needs time to observe, breathe, and decide she trusts you — but when she does, it’s incredibly special. Morsel is searching for a truly patient, understanding adopter, ideally someone with experience with timid or fearful dogs. She won’t be your instant best friend, but she has so much potential waiting just beneath the surface. With consistency, calm reassurance, and zero pressure, she can continue to blossom. Other dogs are her comfort zone. Morsel is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, naturally submissive, and must have another dog in the home to help her feel safe and confident. A canine companion is not just a preference for her — it’s a necessity. Because she’s sensitive, Morsel would do best in a quieter household. Children should be older and respectful, able to understand that love sometimes means giving space and letting trust grow slowly. Morsel has a spay appointment scheduled for 3/24/2026 in the Reading, PA area. If you believe in second chances, quiet victories, and the beauty of earning a dog’s trust day by day, Morsel may be the soul you’ve been waiting for. Sometimes the most rewarding love is the one you have to grow together.   Available 2/7/26 Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2641184##

Story
Hi! My name is Geo, I am 2-3 years old.  My foster mom says I am a complete angel.  I had a hard start to life, too long to go into details.  I was hit by a car about a month ago and broke my tail!  Luckily, I was taken to the vet, they helped me feel better.  Now I am living in a foster home with 3 furry dog siblings that I love to play with.  I have trust issues due to my checkered past; however, you can win my heart over by giving me lots of snacks!!  After a short few hours in my foster home, I quickly learned that people are nice.  After 1 day, I learned to jump in my foster mom’s lap and let her pick me up.  Now she tells me that I am her shadow!  I follow her everywhere, even to the bathroom!  I weigh about 13 lbs, I am the size of a big Chihuahua, but I look a little like a pittie mix.  I am the cutest!!  I have the cutest freckles inside my big ears, and my tail is curvy from my injury.  I like to talk to my foster siblings when we play.  Playing outside is my favorite.  I sleep all night in my crate, and I am almost house trained.  I will prance around the room to let you know I need to potty, but if you don’t let me out, I might have an accident inside.  I am looking for a new family that will have patience to let me trust and love.  It won’t take long for me to love you back, you just need to have a pocket full of snacks!  Apply at bcaaofnj.org Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Marla is a beautiful Rat Terrier mix with a soft yellow coat, weighing about 21 pounds and around 5 years old. She ended up in an overcrowded shelter as an owner surrender, and while the chaos and noise of the shelter can be overwhelming for many dogs, Marla never let it dampen her cheerful spirit. Now safe in a foster home, Marla is doing great and learning the routine of home life. She is working on house and crate training and settling in nicely as she gets used to being part of a family again. She is a happy, friendly girl who loves attention and is ready to enjoy the good life she truly deserves. Her foster family can’t understand how anyone could give up such a sweet and lovable dog, but we know her perfect family is out there waiting for her.Marla is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life filled with love, comfort, and plenty of happy moments. If you’d like to give Marla the wonderful forever home she deserves, please apply at bcaaofnj.org. Story
Meet Ripp: Ripp is estimated to be about a 5 year old (as of January 2026) rat terrier mix (best guess) that weighs 28 pounds. Ripp was surrendered by his owners to Animal Control in Brownsville, Tennessee early this year after they said they just didn't want a dog anymore. Luckily Charlie’s Crusaders heard of him and were able to get him into the rescue. Ripp is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Ripp is a friendly little fellow that requires no time to get to know you. Ripp is playful and gentle and wants to be near you. Ripp is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Ripp to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. If you are interested in adding this little man into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Tennessee, awaiting transport to PA ##2639006##
