Hi! My name is Geo, I am 2-3 years old. My foster mom says I am a complete angel. I had a hard start to life, too long to go into details. I was hit by a car about a month ago and broke my tail! Luckily, I was taken to the vet, they helped me feel better. Now I am living in a foster home with 3 furry dog siblings that I love to play with. I have trust issues due to my checkered past; however, you can win my heart over by giving me lots of snacks!! After a short few hours in my foster home, I quickly learned that people are nice. After 1 day, I learned to jump in my foster mom’s lap and let her pick me up. Now she tells me that I am her shadow! I follow her everywhere, even to the bathroom! I weigh about 13 lbs, I am the size of a big Chihuahua, but I look a little like a pittie mix. I am the cutest!! I have the cutest freckles inside my big ears, and my tail is curvy from my injury. I like to talk to my foster siblings when we play. Playing outside is my favorite. I sleep all night in my crate, and I am almost house trained. I will prance around the room to let you know I need to potty, but if you don’t let me out, I might have an accident inside. I am looking for a new family that will have patience to let me trust and love. It won’t take long for me to love you back, you just need to have a pocket full of snacks! Meet Holland: Holland is estimated to be about a 2 year old (as of February 2026) rat terrier / kelpie mix (best guess) that weighs 23 pounds. Holland was found running around Memphis with 2 traveling companions. The trio were brought into a shelter and seemed shy. Our rescue was able to get them into a foster home where they have opened up. Holland is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Holland is a cute, affectionate little guy. Holland loves to snuggle up to you at night and gets along well with other dogs in the foster home. Holland doesn't bark excessively and isn't destructive - he’s a great buddy to have around. Holland is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Holland to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. Holland is up to date on his shots and neutered. Puppy mills are producing puppies at alarmingly high rates. It is easier for them to give up puppies who are not easily sold/don’t sell as they usually have multiple litters of puppies for sale at the same time. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive!
