Story
Meet Ripp: Ripp is estimated to be about a 5 year old (as of January 2026) rat terrier mix (best guess) that weighs 28 pounds. Ripp was surrendered by his owners to Animal Control in Brownsville, Tennessee early this year after they said they just didn't want a dog anymore. Luckily Charlie’s Crusaders heard of him and were able to get him into the rescue. Ripp is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Ripp is a friendly little fellow that requires no time to get to know you. Ripp is playful and gentle and wants to be near you. Ripp is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Ripp to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. If you are interested in adding this little man into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Tennessee, awaiting transport to PA ##2639006##

Story
Meet Big Hal: Big Hal is estimated to be about a 10 year old (as of January 2026) rat terrier mix (best guess) that weighs 17 pounds. Big Hal was taken in by animal control in Memphis and later acquired by Charlie's Crusaders. Big Hal is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Big Hal didn't initially take to the facilities that the shelter had to offer and was a bit grumpy during his initial stay there. However, once one of the employees there took him into her office, he grew more satisfied with the accommodations and relaxed and became a well behaved little dog. When we got him, Big Hal was walking out on a leash with no problems and was quite content to be petted by strangers. He probably wouldn't do too well in a house where he was crated much of the time. Big Hal gets along with other dogs and shows no response to cats. He's not a playful puppy anymore, but he moves around the house and yard as robustly as anyone. Big Hal is house trained. We would love for Big Hal to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely, but it is not a requirement. Big Hal is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adding this older man into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a bat-dog hybrid who runs on unlimited energy and pure joy, your dreams just came true. Missy is a 22lb, 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix who looks like a bat in disguise (seriously—check out those ears!) with the sweetest brown eyebrows and muzzle freckles you’ll ever see.Missy is a professional zoomie champion who believes exercise is a lifestyle, not a hobby. One walk? Great. Two walks? Better. Three? LET’S GO.This silly girl is smart as a whip and eager to please. She knows her commands, sits patiently at the door like a little lady until you say “okay, let’s go!” and beams with pride whenever she hears the magic words “good girl.” The only thing she loves more than hearing that? Attention. Any kind. From anyone. Always.Missy is perfectly house-trained, sleeps like an angel once she’s in her crate (bonus points if she gets a blanket to burrow in), and is working hard on her leash manners. She’s very enthusiastic about dogs, cats, squirrels, and, well, life in general—sometimes too enthusiastic—so she’ll do best in a home that can match her zest with consistent training, playtime, and lots of patience. Her dislikes? Being ignored, crate time, and small woodland critters who dare to exist. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, high-energy best friend who will keep you laughing (and moving!) every single day, Missy is your girl.If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

These pups are in Elkton, Maryland too!

Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 27, 2026, 1:42 pm
