Story
Bebe and Tabby are a bonded pair of 7-year-old female Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mixes. Bebe weighs approximately 15 pounds. She is a friendly, happy, affectionate girl who is always wagging her tail as soon as she sees you. Tabby also weighs 15 pounds. She is timid when she first meets new people, but quickly warms up. We have no idea why they named her Tabby? They both gets along well with the other dogs, but have not been cat or kid-tested. Their adoption donation is $500, which includes their spay, vaccinations, and microchip. They both are heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. They are currently in a foster home, please fill out an adoption application, and we will arrange meet and greet. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-application.html https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p154/Bebe_%26_Tabby.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link: https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information.html

Story
Branley may be a senior, but don’t tell him that—he’s too busy enjoying life his way. At 12 years young, this charming Rat Terrier has perfected the art of the good life. His favorite place? A cozy dog bed where he can curl up just right… preferably in a patch of warm sunshine. Give him a sunny spot, and you’ll see pure, contented bliss. Branley is also a wonderful walking companion. He loves getting out to explore, taking in the world at his own easygoing pace. Whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a quiet moment outside, he’s happiest by your side. His hearing might not be what it once was, but a gentle, louder call is all it takes to get his attention—and when he looks your way, it’s with those sweet, knowing eyes that only a senior dog can have. And for his age? His bladder control is impressive, making him an easy addition to a calm, loving home. Branley is the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to rest, a bit of sunshine, and a person to share his days with. In return, he’ll give you quiet companionship, loyalty, and the kind of love that only comes with time. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to keep you company and remind you to slow down and savor the little things, Branley is ready to be your perfect match. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $250 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org.  ##2715473##

Story
Beautiful boy seeking a new loving home! Bulba loves his two young human siblings, but wow do they ever take up a lot of their parents' attention! Gone are the days when Bulba was an only child, enjoying frequent hiking, traveling, and lots of outings with Mom and Dad, and the prime spot in his choice of laps. Now he plays second fiddle to the human kids in a household with a changed vibe—both noise level and activity level—and that is hard for a nervous dog like Bulba. So he is seeking a new home where he can get some well-deserved pampering as he finishes up his tenth year. Bulba is a smart, classically gorgeous 17 lb. purebred UKC-registered rat terrier. He knows all of the basic obedience commands as well as several tricks — he can dance, spin in both directions, and even jump through rings! He is house-trained, although recently he has started to soil in the house, which his guardians believe is for attention seeking. Bulba is good with familiar people, and wonderfully gentle with the two youngsters in the home, but he can be wary with strangers of any age, and will object noisily if they try to pat him too soon. He is not friendly with other dogs and will bark and even snap or bite if he feels cornered. With a new devoted family who can provide plentiful engagement, exercise, and enrichment, Bulba's confidence and contentment would certainly be renewed. Please check out lots more photos in Bulba's online album at http://www.ImageEvent.com/newrattitude/bulba .  If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info.June 12, 2026, 10:10 pm

Story
Tammy is one of 5 dogs that were surrendered to our rescue when their owner had to be taken to a nursing home. They are all decompressing at the rescue and learning how to trust others. Tammy is very shy and timid. When she first arrived, she would hide in the corner. Now she runs out to eagerly greet her foster mom. This girl appears to be a rat terrier, Jack Russell Terrier mix, about 2 years old, and weighs about 14 lbs. Tammy gets along fine with the other dogs in the rescue. We have no idea how she is with small, young children. May 21 is her spay, chip, vaccination appointment and she'll be ready to go after that. Her adoption fee is $200. Applications to adopt are at kathisk9s.org Meet greets are scheduled only for approved applicants

Story
Hi, I'm Annie ❤️ I can be shy when we first meet, but my foster says I'm getting braver every single day. I'm starting to show my playful side, and once I feel safe, I really love being around my people. I'm currently in a foster home and doing great- I get along well with other dogs and have passed my cat test! Having a confident dog around can really help me feel more comfortable. I'm still learning and growing, so I'd love a calm, patient home where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace. I promise, the more time you give me, the more of my happy, playful personality you'll get to see.

Story
Two things are happening in this clip... 1) she is allowing more contact with less uncertainty 2) we finally placed a collar on her and it went very smoothly A third thing is also happening that we want you to take note of: her body language. She is licking her lips every minute or so and you can see her do it, here. That can be submission but, in her case, we believe it is nervousness. She is unsure about the casual contact. She has not be engaged with eye contact the last week. You will see, however, she is making it, now. She isn't entirely avoiding of eye contact, after a week of work!! We have respected her and asked permission for most of the intrusions we have made. Trust building. Thank God our friends at MCAS asked us to consider her. They really do go above and beyond to help the animals that find themselves at the shelter. We love and respect our partners at the county animal shelter and we can only hope the rest of the community truly appreciates the blood, sweat and tears these folks pour into their jobs! We digress... Momma dog is learning trust and that was our first order of business. She needs a name and we have yet to work on leash. This has been baby steps. Each day we sit inside the van with her (secure and cool, away from the chaos of the house and not on the dirt). It's super uncomfortable but it's the only way to find air conditioned seclusion. It's also super inconvenient to have to move her around in the 36 inch crate like Hannibal Lecter... but we won't put the puppy at risk for Parvo and we won't rush things with the leash. It took us 8 days to get the collar on and the leash will take patience, as well. She had the lead clipped, today. But that was too much, too soon. She hasn't offered to bite us and trusts us with her baby. She eats gently from our hand and is allowing touch over most of her body, without reaction. She hasn't acted aggressively toward the cat, either. We are optimistic that she will turn a corner in her rehab and learn to relax. She is ready for the right foster home... and she comes with a bonus puppy!  Ocala FL ##1852804##
