Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. John Wayne came to PRBJ via the Pilots for Paws program.  He got his flight wings as he flew from Montgomery AL to Central FL. He is a sweet boy looking for his forever home. He acts a little shy but warms up quickly.  He does seem to prefer men over women. The more he has been with people, the more he has discovered he can trust humans. Judy and the staff think he may have some Greyhound in him...boy he can run like the wind! An active home is best for this little guy:) A fenced backyard would be ideal and preferred for him to burn off energy.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 13, 2024, 5:31 pm

Story
A relative of mine dropped him off short notice and I have been fostering him since. I already have dogs of my own and can’t take him in as well. Very playful and well-behaved. Can get into some mischievous but great for kids and doesn’t need a lot of yard space. His dad is a Prague ratter and mom is a chihuahua. He got into our emu/ chicken fencing and we are currently treating his eye from from a minor wound.

Story
Meet Norman!  This chihuahua/terrier is 2 years old and weighs 19 lbs.  Norman is a playful ball of energy just waiting to share his life with you! General Behavior: Norman is a sweet, affectionate and very loving boy. Likes & Dislikes: Norman loves to snuggle and likes to play with people and other pups. Training: Norman is good on car rides and has good basic manners.  He could use a little more practice on his leash walking. His previous owner described him as “incredibly intelligible”, so that will be a great benefit for any additional training. Medical:  Norman is a healthy guy and will just need his monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Norman does great with other playful dogs, so a house with another furry friend would be needed for Norman.  He has not been tested around cats, but his foster feels he may do better in a home without them. Children: Norman would be best suited in a home with older children (8 +) and teens. Home: Norman can be a little mischievous and has run out of open doors in the past, so his adopters will need to be mindful of his whereabouts. He would benefit from a new owner who is home more often than not, as he can be anxious and howls. His foster family has left him alone in a secure area of the house for up to a few hours at a time. Having another playful pup to keep him company would also help lessen the anxiety. At night, he enjoys crashing in bed with his humans.  Grooming: No special grooming is needed for Norman other than routine bathing and nail trims. Overall: Norman would be a great addition if you have another pup for him to play with and are looking for a sweet boy to share your love with.  Interested in adopting Norman? Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. Norman’s adoption donation is $350. ##2060294##
