Story
Baby has been a trucker dog for the past seven years he is accustomed to being the only dog, but he does get along with other dogs and cats. He does have food aggression, which is where I said special needs, but only with other dogs he does not have food aggression with humans. Baby has separation anxiety, which means he will bark if he is left alone.. he basically needs someone to be with him constantly be at children or somebody always home. Baby would be an amazing dog for a family or an elderly retired he is a fantastic companion and a very big cuddler. Baby is growing to be too old for trucker life. He needs a yard and lead to run/play in.

Story
Maggie was previously a friend's dog, who needed to be rehomed when her young child turned out to be allergic. Maggie stayed with her first family from 13 weeks old to just shy of 9 years old. We were told that she was a very nervous dog. She's been with us for about 10 months and we have realized she needs a family with more training and behavior experience. When extremely nervous, she has bitten. Also when nervous she tends to have small accidents (pooping and peeing). She likes to be pet on her terms, and can get nervous if someone tries to pet her too quickly. Also if she thinks she's in any trouble, she tends to get really nervous and evasive. She would likely do best in a quiet house, although she does like kids. She does well with other dogs and cats and seems most nervous around men. She does like to cuddle on her terms and enjoys chewing on bones. She can follow basic commands like sit and stay.

Story
My name is Capricorn and I am looking for my fur-ever home. Clicking on my picture is the first step in getting to know me! Potential adopters always ask a lot of questions about me. Here are the most common ones:Q: What is your back story?A: I heard that I used to live in a home with several dogs until my owner died. Luckily the volunteers at Almost Home Foundation saved me so I could have a second chance. I am currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two doggie sisters while I wait to be adopted. I am on the shy side, but with love, patience, and encouragement, I continue to gain confidence.Q: Are you housebroken and crate-trained?A: Yes to both! In fact, I love my crate. It’s my own little den where I feel safe and comfortable. Q: Are you good with dogs, cats, or kids?A: I am dog-friendly. I am timid so children would be too scary for me. It’s okay if they visit once in a while as long as I have a quiet place away from all the activity. I am not sure how I would be with cats.Q: Do you chew furniture, etc.?A: Nope. Not at all. I spend most of my day curled up in my doggie bed under a blanket. I’m so quiet that you hardly know I’m there!Q: Can you be left home alone?A: Yes! Just put me in my crate with a Kong toy and a blanket and I’m a happy camper.Q: Do you need a fenced-in yard?A: Yes. I do not potty on a leash so I will need a secure fenced yard for potty-time. It doesn`t need to be a big yard, just a secure one. Besides, I LOVE running around the backyard and having fun!Q: What is your ideal forever home?A: In terms of a forever home, I need someone with lots of love and patience to help me learn to trust. I am not a social butterfly or cuddle-bug that wants to meet everyone. An overly busy home with lots of people coming-and-going would be overwhelming. Q: Anything else we should know?A: I am up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, neutered, and in overall good health. I weigh about 15 pounds. Oh, and I LOVE cheese!Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If so, email dogs@almosthomefoundation.org to get in touch with my foster parents.Adoption fee is $360Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence o

Story
Meet the Secret Wives of Mormon Wives — Jessi, Demi, Whitney, Taylor, Layla, Jen, Macyi & Mikayla These eight lovely ladies didn’t come to us from the deserts of Utah, but the heartland of Indiana — and they’ve got just as much mystery and charm. Once sheltered and a little uncertain of the world, they’ve made their way into the spotlight (and into our hearts), ready to sniff out new adventures and maybe even their forever couch. Unlike the bold and bubbly “MomTok” pack, these girls are on the quiet side — a little shy, a bit reserved, and still learning that the world can be soft and safe. They’re the kind of pups who won’t rush into your lap, but once they trust you? You’ve got a best friend for life. They’re not looking for chaos (unlike the television show) they’re looking for calm. A patient home. A soft bed. A human who understands that the best relationships take time. The Secret Wives are ready to leave their past behind and find their place — one tail wag at a time.

Story
Meet the DadTok Boys — Conner, Dakota, Jacob, Zac, Jordan, Brett & Jace Straight from the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives litter, these seven charming gentlemen are pure heartthrobs with paws. They might carry the “DadTok” name, but don’t let that fool you — these boys are all love, no lectures. These boys are lovers, not fighters — soft-hearted, gentle-spirited, and more interested in belly rubs than barking. Raised with care but ready to leave the shelter behind, they’re looking for a calm, loving forever home where they can finally just… be dogs. If you’ve got a cozy couch, an open heart, and a treat or two in your pocket, one of these DadTok dudes might just be your perfect match. 🐾
