Rio needs to be rehomed. We rescued him from the cold about two years ago. Unfortunately it’s not working out. Rio and our male Chihuahua are not bonding and we don’t have the time to give him the attention he deserves. Rio really needs a human with a lot of patience and time and a home preferably no other dogs. We think he is a Rat Terrier and is around five years old. He is very energetic and loves to chew on bones. His favorite snack is teething rings. He is pad trained and trained to go outside.

A royal and refined lady, Princess Abby is an absolutely precious young rat terrier/Chihuahua mix. Although timid when she first arrived to her foster home, Abby has blossomed into an 'in charge' and friendly little character. She is about 3 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Abby has met and done very well with no aggression towards adults, children, young children, dogs, and cats. She gets along nicely with the cats she currently lives with and will even nap with them on the couch. She has a very strong preference for older women, but is friendly towards everyone. Abby likes to go on walks several times during the day and has had no accidents indoors since settling in at her foster home. She likes nothing better than to greet other dogs and people while out for a stroll. She does have a strong prey instinct and will chase any wildlife she encounters. Abby is so polite that she goes to her crate on her own and will sleep there all night with a Kong and a blanket. She knows plenty of words, such as sit and wait, and will offer a paw to shake on the cue 'pretty girl.' Now that this princess has been rescued, it's time for her to live a fairytale life with her forever family! Jolene, Jolene....this darling 7-year-old was found as a stray with two benign tumors on her mammary glands and another on her toe – and she was very overweight. Once humans came to her rescue, she underwent surgery to remove all the tumors and had her toe amputated. She has also lost almost 8 pounds and now weighs about 15 lbs. She'll need to continue her weight loss plan to get her to her ideal weight of around 12 pounds. Despite all her challenges, Jolene has remained the sweetest gal. Everyone she met on her recovery and transport journey fell in love with her. When she finally made it to her long-term foster, she curled up and fell asleep in her crate and woke up the next day with the best attitude. She ADORES all people and is a bundle of love. She is housetrained and will go to the door if she needs to go outside. Jolene is okay with other dogs, but can be a bit of a bully at times. A household with numerous dogs would not be her cup of tea. She is a calm and quiet dog who prefers to sit with her person and be petted, but she does still need frequent walks to help her reach her ideal weight and help her understand that there is more to the world than her backyard. Jolene also needs someone who will be patient with her while walking on a leash and not be upset if Jolene is a tripping hazard. Jolene would love to be part of a family that can keep her active and be patient with her as she blossoms into her best self. She may tolerate another dog, but she would prefer to be a family's only dog where she could be the belle of the ball. She just needs a chance to live the life she's always deserved.
