Story
Liam is a super sweet 1 1/2-year-old rat terrier with striking green eyes and a host of endearing traits. Liam loves other dogs and loves to play. He gently takes treats from your hand, and he'll 'sit pretty' for them, i.e. with front paws lifted. At mealtimes, he'll do a Iittle dance in happy anticipation of what he's about to receive.   Along with all that sweetness comes some shyness, and when he barks at someone new, it's a pretty big bark for a smallish 22-lb. fellow.  However, he'll warm up quickly if you're patient and don't get in his face. He would do best in a home without little kids, who might have a hard time respecting his personal space. You should live close enough to his foster home to make several visits so that he won't feel at all shy about moving in with you.    Liam has good manners inside and outside the home. He'll sit nicely and stay (almost always). He knows the basics of politely walking on a leash and doesn't dig holes in the yard. He loves car rides and makes a great passenger. He's house-trained and he'll sleep in a crate if you so desire. However, since he's extremely adept at burrowing under the covers to cozy up to you or at lying on the pillow just above your head, he thinks you'll prefer him to be in bed with you. More photos of our lovable Liam are available at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/liam .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. February 20, 2024, 12:48 pm

Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Rio needs to be rehomed. We rescued him from the cold about two years ago. Unfortunately it’s not working out. Rio and our male Chihuahua are not bonding and we don’t have the time to give him the attention he deserves. Rio really needs a human with a lot of patience and time and a home preferably no other dogs. We think he is a Rat Terrier and is around five years old. He is very energetic and loves to chew on bones. His favorite snack is teething rings. He is pad trained and trained to go outside.
