Story
Meet Pablo – The Smart, Sensitive, and Snuggly Little Gentleman Adoption Fee: $399 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Pablo is a seven-year-old terrier mix who’s as sweet as he is smart! He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. He’s crate trained, house trained, and overall a very well-mannered boy. Pablo gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but he can be a bit bossy with larger dogs. He’s not cat-friendly — not aggressive, but he loves to chase cats, which can make things stressful for them. He’s done well meeting polite, well-behaved children at adoption events and would do fine in a calm home with older or gentle kids. This handsome little guy loves walks, car rides, and curling up for cuddles on the couch (bonus points if there’s a blanket involved!). He’s also happy to sleep in a dog bed, on a blanket, or even in his crate without fuss. Pablo would love a securely fenced yard to explore because he does have a curious side and enjoys visiting the neighbors when given the chance — so a fence or leashed walks are a must for his safety. If you’re looking for a smart, cuddly, and devoted little dog with a big personality, Pablo might just be the one for you. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy this link. https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=AL450&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21

Story
Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well! Skipper is very much loved in his foster home and they can’t wait for him to find his perfect family! 🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Meet Cinder. He’s 17 pounds of Rat Terrier brains, a world-class snuggler, and a dog who definitely knows his worth. Cinder is looking for a home that understands he isn’t just a dog—he’s a tiny, furry professor. : : Former resident of a busy Texas foster home. He’s “interned” with dogs of all sizes and ages and is officially cat-approved (dog-savvy felines only, please!). : Professional-grade puzzle solving, snuffle mat mastery, and “sniff-search” enthusiast. If you want a dog that just sits there, keep scrolling. Cinder wants to work for his kibble. : Highly adaptable. Whether you work from home or head to the office, Cinder is cool with the vibe. “” : : Cinder is looking for an adult-only sanctuary. He’s a sophisticated guy who prefers a mature audience. : Cinder has a strict “No Moisture” policy. If it’s pouring outside, he will refuse to move. He’s not being difficult; he’s just protecting the pelt. He’ll need a patient human to help him navigate his fair-weather potty habits! : He’s great in his crate at night, provided he’s in the same room as you. He likes to know his staff is nearby. : • Finding the warmest spot in the house (heat-seeker status: Expert). • Chasing the flirt pole. • Intense cuddling (No kisses yet—he’s a first-name-basis kind of guy). • Alerting you to the Amazon delivery driver with a brief, professional bark. Cinder is a smart, neutral, and easy-going companion who just needs a family that respects his intellect and his love of a good dry blanket. ’ ?   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2690399##

Story
Skye is a sweet 10-year-old rescue who has been deeply loved her entire life. After the recent passing of her owners, she’s looking for a new home to give her the same care and stability she’s always known. She has a gentle, calm personality, enjoys companionship, and does well with other dogs. Skye would thrive in a peaceful home where she can relax and feel safe. Skye loves roaming the backyard and going on adventure walks. She LOVES other dogs. She is not food aggressive and is currently free fed. This change is no fault of her own—just heartbreaking circumstances. She has so much love to give and deserves a soft place to land in her golden years.Adoption fee goes to a pet rescue of your choice.
