He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. He’s crate trained, house trained, and overall a very well-mannered boy. Pablo gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but he can be a bit bossy with larger dogs. He’s not cat-friendly — not aggressive, but he loves to chase cats, which can make things stressful for them. He’s done well meeting polite, well-behaved children at adoption events and would do fine in a calm home with older or gentle kids. This handsome little guy loves walks, car rides, and curling up for cuddles on the couch (bonus points if there’s a blanket involved!). He’s also happy to sleep in a dog bed, on a blanket, or even in his crate without fuss. Pablo would love a securely fenced yard to explore because he does have a curious side and enjoys visiting the neighbors when given the chance — so a fence or leashed walks are a must for his safety. Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well! At first he is slow to warm up but by the third day he was in his foster home he really opened up! He loves to follow his humans around and lay next to them during the day. He is good with people and has met kids at some of our adoption events. He loves hanging out with the resident dogs and he'll lay and snuggle with them and enjoys playing with them too. He hasn't been noted to resource guard. He also isn't vocal. He loves to be outside and run around in the yard. He's not destructive but occasionally will start to nibble on his doggie bed. He is easily redirected with a toy. He is doing very well with housetraining and hasn't had any accidents yet. He likes his crate and sleeps in it all night without crying. He's food motivated so he should be easier to train. Adam is great in the car and usually just takes a nap. He isn't very high energy but does like to play with toys. He will snuggle up with his foster humans on the couch at night before bed. He would do best in a home that is willing to be patient with him while he gets comfortable and is looking for a chill laid back dog.
