Zach is a sweet, friendly pup who loves people and gets along beautifully with just about everyone. He's currently in a foster home with dogs, cats and children and fits right in. He even loves curling up in bed with his foster family at night.
Zach is approximately 10 months old and weighs only 11lbs. He may still have a little growing to do.
His story began when we received a call about approximately 10 dogs that had apparently been dumped in the middle of nowhere. By the time help arrived, only these three remained. Sadly, the others had reportedly been hit by cars or attacked by animals.
Judging by how comfortable and affectionate they are with people; we believe they were pets at some point. We don’t know where they came from or how they ended up abandoned, but we do know they’ll never have to fend for themselves again.
Zach is the last little pup left from this group. These little survivors have been through enough. Now they deserve safe, loving homes of their own where they can spend the rest of their lives being loved and spoiled.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
