MEET ANGEL!!This girl is perfect for anyone looking to welcome a sweet little angel into their home! She is a little nervous with new people and environments, but once she gets to know you, she won`t leave your side. She lived with another small dog in her last home, but we think she may want all the spotlight in her next home as an only pup. If this little cherub sounds like the one for you, please stop by to meet her!My friends describe me as: shy, snuggly, and adventurousAngel is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and seen by our vet team.We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. For more information on Angel or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays. He has a low energy level and would make a wonderful companion since he likes nothing better than being with his person, whatever they are doing. After a slow warm-up, Peanut gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being a part of the pack. He has not met cats or kids yet, but would likely get along with both if given the space he needs to become comfortable with them first.Peanut is mostly crate trained, but still needs encouragement to go inside since he would rather be with his person. He is house trained when kept on a regular schedule and he will need some more practice at leash walking.Peanut has lots of love to give a lucky family! If you're looking for a dog who will be happy to be wherever you are, Peanut is your guy! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Meet Pablo – The Smart, Sensitive, and Snuggly Little Gentleman Adoption Fee: $399 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Pablo is a seven-year-old terrier mix who’s as sweet as he is smart! He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. He’s crate trained, house trained, and overall a very well-mannered boy. Pablo gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but he can be a bit bossy with larger dogs. He’s not cat-friendly — not aggressive, but he loves to chase cats, which can make things stressful for them. He’s done well meeting polite, well-behaved children at adoption events and would do fine in a calm home with older or gentle kids. This handsome little guy loves walks, car rides, and curling up for cuddles on the couch (bonus points if there’s a blanket involved!). He’s also happy to sleep in a dog bed, on a blanket, or even in his crate without fuss. Pablo would love a securely fenced yard to explore because he does have a curious side and enjoys visiting the neighbors when given the chance — so a fence or leashed walks are a must for his safety. If you’re looking for a smart, cuddly, and devoted little dog with a big personality, Pablo might just be the one for you. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy this link. https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=AL450&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Story
Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well! Skipper is very much loved in his foster home and they can’t wait for him to find his perfect family! 🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
