Story
Popcorn came to us when the current owner was gonna euthanize her because Popcorn had been attacked by there other dog and had become an inconvenience in the owners life. She is great with either dogs here and completely house trained. She does well with kids, cats and other dogs. She is just been a joy to have around our home while we are fostering her. She loves to go for walks and snuggle on the couch. Would to great for someone that is liking for a companion to just chill on the couch and watch TV with.

Story
When Violet’s owner suddenly passed away, her world was turned upside down. Her single elderly mom cared deeply for her and was they were constant companions. She was left in a place of deep uncertainty, unsure of what would happen to her. Sadly, the family she was left with showed her little attention or affection and simply wanted to pass her off to someone else. She languished for 5 months after the sad death and in that time she lost weight and became very depressed.  That’s when Critter Cavalry stepped in—to show Violet that she was wanted, valued, and loved. When she arrived, Violet was not only painfully thin and very scared. It seemed as though she hadn’t felt a kind hand or a gentle hug in quite some time, nor known the comfort of consistent care. Despite this heartbreaking start, Violet surprised us all. Day by day, she began to brighten—eating more than you’d ever think her little body could manage and slowly gaining the weight she so desperately needed. As she filled out, her personality began to emerge. With each passing day, she became more playful and curious. Violet is a quiet, gentle soul. She is a beautiful black and white Rat Terrier mix and weighs about 20 pounds.  While she often prefers to observe from a distance as the other pups roughhouse, she’s perfectly content to quietly coexist—snuggled up on the couch, soaking in calm companionship.Violet is learning how to live life again, rediscovering trust and comfort at her own pace. She would thrive with a calm, patient, and understanding family who can continue to show her what safety, kindness, and love truly mean. What a joy she could be for a retired couple or single woman who wants to be the center of Violet's adoration and love.  She deserves a resurrection in life and a solid promise of a forever place to live out her many years that she has ahead. Housebroken, non-destructive when home alone and good with other dogs and cats, this girl is a peaceful soul that will bring so much to your life.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 15, 2026, 10:16 pm

Story
Imagine driving down a rural country road on the way to pickup groceries, when out of the brush comes 2 walking Halloween skeletons.  That is what  Benjamin and his partner Olive looked like when we took them home.  Benjamin is a sweet JRT mix that is about 2 years old and weighs 27 lbs. He loves to play and destuff all of his stuffed animals. When his energy runs out, he will snuggle next to you on the couch. He is a smart boy and will keep you on your toes. Benjamin is learning house manners and will stay in a crate. Benjamin walks well on a harness but beware of squirrels. Because of his high prey drive, absolutely no cats!!! A fenced yard is highly desirable but not a necessity. he can always go out on a leash but never off leash when not in  fenced yard .      If you love the energy and personality of a jack russell, then benjamin, we'll check all the boxes that you are looking for.  Please email critter cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.    please inform us where you live, city and state since we R based in Tennessee. But we do transport out of state to the northeastern corridor.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 15, 2026, 10:16 pm

Story
Meet Tommy. He's an 11 lb bundle of affection and playfulness. He loves toys and could run and play outside all day. Enjoys going for car rides and does well around our old cat. We got him when he was a puppy almost 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed 2 years ago with a rare progressive lung disease. I have to travel across state often for medical care. My husband also travels for work. Tommy is left by himself alot. Caring for Tommy has become difficult for me due to diminished breathing and poor lung capacity, I can't walk Tommy or play with him much. It's starting to affect his personality. You can tell he's very lonely. Tommy is a sweet boy and a great little sidekick. Want to ensure he'll go to a home with lots of love and outdoor space. We have a crate for him, toys, bowls, food, and treats. He knows some commands and is house and crate trained (as long as he goes out 3x per day) Not sure how he'll do with other dogs. May be skittish at first but warms up to treats.

Story
Bolt My name is Bolt named after Usain Bolt. You guessed it I am fast just like the Olympic sprinter. It is amazing I am so fast because I have an injured pelvis. Because of this injury I have had nerve damage and lost feeling in my back end. This means I cannot pee and poop like a normal dog. My foster family and vet are working with me to see if there is some things we can try. Currently we are trying out some medications to see if we can get me to have control of my functions. We are not sure if they will work but we want to try. I am such a cute boy and very loving. I get along with the other dogs in the home. I think I am in charge of the much bigger dogs because my whole six pounds are filled with determination. I am still a puppy but have gotten over a lot of puppy behavior like chewing and biting. I weigh almost 7 lbs and need to put more weight on. I am crate trained. Currently I wear a diaper most of the time. I do not love it but put up with it to make everyone happy. I am very smart and want to do the right things when asked. I love humans, my crate and soft beds. In my foster home the other dogs think I am to fast to play with but I try to play with them. Maybe they will come around. I am looking for a home where someone will love me for me. No one know how I got injured but it was not my fault. I deserve to be loved and have a loving family like all other dogs. If you have room in your heart and lap and couch please give me a chance. I will pay you back with lots of love. If interested in giving me a forever home, please complete an application at safeanimalhaven.org.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website."Let’s Get This Party Started!" Hi! I’m Finn! I’m 6 months old and a solid 30 lbs of puppy energy. I heard someone say I’m "rambunctious," which I think is just a big word for "really good at having fun!" I’m a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and discovering new smells. I’ve got a lot of personality packed into this medium-sized body, and I’m ready to share it with you! Why I’m a Great Teammate: I’m Ready for Anything: Want to go for a hike? I’m in! Want to play in the yard? Say no more! I’m outgoing and always ready to be your right-hand man. I’ve Got My Manners: I’m already crate trained, so I know how to settle down and relax when it’s time for a break. I’m Good to Go: I’ve had my shots, my vetting is all done, and I’ve even got a microchip so we can stay together forever. I’m looking for a family who wants a buddy to grow with.
