Story
Meet Taz! Don’t let his size fool you—Taz has enough personality packed into his little body for a dog twice his size! This handsome terrier mix was pulled from Harris County alongside his kennel buddy, Mac, during our recent shelter rescue mission, and we’re so glad he’s finally getting his chance to shine. At around 2 years old, Taz is the perfect mix of fun and laid-back. He’s a sweet little guy who carries himself like a big dog, but deep down he just wants to be loved and included in all of life’s adventures. Whether it’s hanging out on the couch, going for a walk, or simply being your sidekick, Taz is happy just being part of the family. So far, Taz has shown us that he’s a pretty chill dude with a heart of gold. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly steal your heart and become your best friend before you even realize it. Now all this little guy needs is a foster or forever home where he can be spoiled the way he deserves. Could Taz be your new best friend? Fill out an application to foster or adopt and give this sweet boy the happy ending he’s been waiting for! June 26, 2026, 8:58 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Spanky! I'm a 9-year-old Rat Terrier–Chihuahua mix who loves cuddles, naps on the couch, and being close to my people. My family adopted me when I was almost 5 years old after he had spent most of his life as a companion lap dog. As life has become busier, I've struggled with being left alone and have developed separation anxiety. My family believes I would be happiest in a home where my family would be home more often. Because of my anxiety, I can bite if startled while resting or sitting on someone's lap. I am currently on anxiety medication but still need an adopter who understands my triggers and can give me space when needed. I would do best in a calm adult home. I'm a loving, loyal dog who bonds closely with his people and enjoys quiet days spent together.

Story
Meet our sweet girl, Luna. She is 11 years old. She was found abandoned and hungry in someone's backyard by our friend Zulfiya, who asked us to take care of her temporarily. We fell in love with her and kept her for the past 4 years. She is a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. She rarely barks and loves nothing more than following her owner around and laying quietly by their side for hours. She knows several commands: sit, stay, wait, come, no, and heel. She is friendly with everyone she meets and great with children. We are heartbroken to let her go, but we are moving back to our home country and cannot take her with us. The journey would be too difficult for her and we do not have the means to bring her along. She deserves a loving and peaceful forever home. She would do wonderfully with a calm individual, a senior citizen, or a small family. She has so much love to give.
