Story
Hello there, I'm Rainy, an older gal who is still full of love and life. I was found on the mean Houston streets and nobody ever claimed me. Lucky for me, Houston Cares took me under their wing and provided me with necessary veterinary care- vaccines, dental, spay, and even removed mammary tumors. So, I am now living a much happier, healthier life! I'm house-trained, cuddly, and proud to keep an observant watch over the activity in your home. I get along well with other dogs and if I shed, it is very minimal. Brighten up your days by letting me spend my golden years loved by you, I promise I'm a ray of sunshine.

Story
My dog is about 7 years old. She’s a rescue and was completely house trained when we found her. I was a single mom with 2 little girls and she has been such a good pet for our family. But now I’ve remarried and Maisie doesn’t like my husband’s dog (it’s female, she has gotten along with males though). She never bites her, merely pins her down, but the other dog is getting older. We just worry about her getting hurt accidentally. We love her though - she is great with kids and people.

Story
MEET BISCUIT! Breed: Chihuahua–Jack Russell Mix Personality: Friendly • Playful • Easygoing Biscuit is a happy little guy who adores people and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. He loves tug-of-war, fetch, and showing off his signature hop-and-pounce move that always makes his foster family smile. When it’s time to relax, Biscuit is a pro snuggler and a great independent napper. He enjoys being held, cuddling with other dogs, or curling up quietly in his bed or kennel. Biscuit came into rescue with a skin infection that caused some fur loss, but he’s healing quickly and improving every day. He’s also doing great with potty training and will continue to thrive with positive reinforcement. Biscuit’s Dream Home: A loving home with a playful canine companion who enjoys both fun and cuddle time. If you’re looking for a sweet, cheerful pup to brighten your days, Biscuit is ready to meet you! 🐾💛 Biscuit is a male Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/3/25. As of 12/6, he weighs 4.8 lbs.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the level of individualized support he needs. Although Clardy is technically a senior, he is still very active. He loves his walks and he's good with other dogs on the walks. He knows sit and he will speak for popcorn. We truly care about his well-being and want the best environment for him to thrive. Story
Hi, I’m a little street survivor turned snuggle bug! 🐾 When my foster mommy first found me, I was just skin and bones, wandering the streets looking for food and trying my best to be brave. Life was scary and lonely — but everything changed when I was saved. Now I’m safe, warm, and finally learning what it means to be loved. 💛 Even though I’m still a very young puppy, I’m super smart — I’ve never had an accident in the house! I’m already learning my commands, getting the hang of this “toys and treats” thing, and figuring out that humans can be trusted. I’m also learning how to have fun, and every day I get a little more confident and happy. I get along great with other dogs and love having furry friends to play with. I don’t really know what breed I am — maybe a little mystery mix of sweetness and resilience — but what I do know is that I’m going to make someone the bestest girl in the whole wide world. Now, I’m just looking for my forever home — a family who will keep helping me learn that love is forever. Could that be you? 💕 Jensen is a female Jack Russell Terrier mix with an estimated date of birth of 6/30/25. As of 11/1, she weighs 13 lbs.
