Story
If you’ve ever wished for a tiny shadow with a wagging tail, Magpie is your girl.   This small black-and-white terrier mix is as sweet as they come. She’s cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to her people. Once she decides you’re hers, you’ll never walk alone again — kitchen, bathroom, laundry room… Magpie will be right there, just in case you needed moral support.   She gets along well with other small dogs, but make no mistake — her favorite place in the world is wherever you are. She will happily follow you from room to room, gazing up at you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to her (because in her world, you are).   Magpie would thrive in a home where someone is around often and doesn’t mind a little extra love and attention. She isn’t just looking for a house — she’s looking for her person.   If you’re ready for a loyal, cuddly, tiny best friend who will adore you with her whole heart, Magpie is waiting. Story
DELIGHTFULLY SPIRITED AND BRIGHT PUP  DOB 8/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Gidget, a beautiful, very sweet, and vivacious Manchester Terrier mix who weighed 10 pounds at 6 months old but should grow up to be a sleek, shiny, and streamlined gal who weighs up to 22 pounds when I’m full grown. I’m an affectionate, lovey-dovey pup with my foster mom and her friends, and I also get along great with kids as well as the resident cats and small dogs in my foster home. When I gambol in the back yard, I move with an easy grace that makes my muscles ripple under my shimmering coat of black with red accents. I’m playful and high-energy at this exciting juncture since NOW my life is a bowl of cherries, but that has not always been the case. You see, when I was about five  months old, a Good Samaritan found me forlornly wandering on the feeder of Highway 288 near Beltway 8. I hate to admit that my heartless owner dumped me and left me very confused, disoriented, as well as vulnerable to being hit by a speeding car! Thank heavens I was rescued and brought to the safe haven of my foster home, where I have blossomed into the confident dog-owner’s delight that Manchesters are known to be. I’m eager-to-please, obedient, and super-intelligent, so I’m almost fully housebroken and crate-trained, and I’m learning to walk well on a leash. Now I’m ready to bring my eye-catching elegance and puppy exuberance to my forever family. Could that be you? If so, arrange to meet me today! One look into my eager, alert dark eyes will melt your heart. I promise that I’ll always be up for anything that the day may bring as long as I’m with you! HOPE ID D26-0124-0005 Gidget’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Gidget will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Biscuit is an energetic, silly boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves toys, backyard zoomies, and playing with his foster siblings—both two-legged and four-legged! He’s incredibly smart and already knows his name, sit, lay down, and kennel, especially when snacks are involved (he’s very food-motivated 😄). When playtime is over, Biscuit turns into a total snuggle bug and can often be found sleeping in the funniest positions imaginable. He enjoys chewing on sticks, running laps in the yard, and being wherever his people are. He’s still working on potty training and is doing wonderfully as he continues to learn and grow. Biscuit is a joyful, loving pup who will make a fantastic companion for an active, affectionate home. Biscuit is a male Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/3/25. As of 1/17, he weighs 10 lbs.

Story
Hi, I’m a little street survivor turned snuggle bug! 🐾 When my foster mommy first found me, I was just skin and bones, wandering the streets looking for food and trying my best to be brave. Life was scary and lonely — but everything changed when I was saved. Now I’m safe, warm, and finally learning what it means to be loved. 💛 Even though I’m still a very young puppy, I’m super smart — I’ve never had an accident in the house! I’m already learning my commands, getting the hang of this “toys and treats” thing, and figuring out that humans can be trusted. I’m also learning how to have fun, and every day I get a little more confident and happy. I get along great with other dogs and love having furry friends to play with. I don’t really know what breed I am — maybe a little mystery mix of sweetness and resilience — but what I do know is that I’m going to make someone the bestest girl in the whole wide world. Now, I’m just looking for my forever home — a family who will keep helping me learn that love is forever. Could that be you? 💕 Jensen is a female Jack Russell Terrier mix with an estimated date of birth of 6/30/25. As of 11/1, she weighs 13 lbs.
