Story
Julia is a calm and easy-going girl who seems to enjoy the company of other dogs in a relaxed way. From our volunteer observations, she appears social and tolerant when other dogs approach her, and she walks nicely on leash with a happy tail wag. Julia would do well in a home looking for a laid-back companion who prefers gentle interactions over rowdy play. Contact us about Julia today!

Story
Meet Bobby!Bobby came to us from the shelter after being surrendered for escaping—but meeting him, it feels less like he was trying to get out and more like he was searching for a place where he finally felt safe. This gentle 2-year-old, 21-pound boy has a soft, easygoing spirit that makes him instantly lovable. He is dog friendly, house trained, wonderful with children, and thrives on calm, reassuring companionship. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his laid-back temperament suggests he may do well.Bobby came into rescue heartworm positive, but he completed treatment like a champ and now has a clean bill of health. He’s ready to leave the uncertainty behind and step into a life of comfort and stability.Bobby is not a fan of being crated and would do best in a home where he can have a little more freedom and continue to build trust and confidence. He isn’t asking for much—just a soft place to land, a patient heart, and someone who will give him the time and reassurance he’s been missing. In return, Bobby offers quiet loyalty, gentle companionship, and a love that feels like home.Bobby is ready to finally exhale… all he needs is someone to welcome him in.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
This adorable little girl is just over a year old and weighs about 12.5 pounds. She’s fully vetted, heartworm negative, microchipped, and making great progress with her potty training. Her adoption fee is only $25! She came from a hoarding situation where dogs were kept in crates in a small apartment, so crates aren’t her favorite place to be. But, it sometimes can be her safety place. Understandably, she’s still a bit nervous and learning to trust. Sometimes she’s too scared to be caught, but with patience, gentleness, and time, she’ll come around and show her true loving nature. Because of her background, she’s not a good fit for apartment living—she’ll need a secure backyard where she can safely explore and feel comfortable. She does best with dogs her size or larger, and would thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to let her open up at her own pace. She’s not an “instant dog”—she’ll need time to trust and adjust—but once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the safe, loving home she deserves? Complete your application today at https://chloespetrescue.org/application

BREED-Rat Terrier Mix; SEX-Male; SIZE-Small; WEIGHT-13 lbs.; AGE-Approximately 4 Years; SPAY/NEUTER-Yes; HOUSETRAINED-Currently Uses Doggie Door; GOOD WITH KIDS-Yes; GOOD WITH DOGS-Yes; GOOD WITH CATS-Unknown; HISTORY-Rescued From A Local Shelter; ADOPTION FEE-$250   Gus is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, easygoing nature, and his idea of a perfect day is simply being close to his person—curled up in your lap or resting quietly by your side. Gus greets everyone with joy and genuine happiness, and his gentle presence has a way of making you feel instantly loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and warmly welcomes new fosters into his home with a kind and patient spirit. Gus does have an autoimmune condition that causes some crusting around his eyes and the sides of his mouth. This means he will need a little extra daily care, including gently cleaning his eyes and mouth with a warm cloth, as well as taking daily medication. The medication is quite manageable, with an average monthly cost of about $20. With this simple routine, Gus remains comfortable and continues to thrive. If you’re looking for a truly special dog—one who will return your love with endless affection and quiet companionship—Gus may be the perfect match for you.March 7, 2026, 2:41 pm

Story
Different, not limited—and ready to love with his whole heart. Louie’s second chance started on Mother’s Day. Rescued from a neglectful situation, Louie is now thriving and showing everyone just how much love can change a life. At just a year old, this happy little guy has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. Since coming into rescue, he has been fully vetted, treated for fleas and ticks, vaccinated, and neutered. Louie has some genetic malformations affecting his spine and back legs (he's a little hunchback), but don't tell him that. He runs, plays, wrestles with his dog friends, enjoys daily walks, and keeps up just fine. His condition doesn't slow him down or affect his ability to enjoy life, and he is not incontinent. However, the would do best in a home without stairs to navigate down. What makes Louie truly special is his spirit. He is affectionate, gentle, eager to please, and incredibly smart. He knows his name, understands "no," listens well, and loves being close to his people. At night, he's happiest snuggled up in bed, but he also settles quietly in a kennel when needed. Louie gets along well with other dogs, loves chew toys, and enjoys an active lifestyle. He is making excellent progress with house training and already goes outside consistently when given the opportunity. Despite the hardships he endured during his first year, Louie remains joyful, trusting, and full of love. He deserves a family that will cherish him, celebrate his unique qualities, and ensure he never experiences neglect again. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life, Louie is ready to meet you. Ready for a meet and greet? Kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.
