We got Bluey from a retired breeder, so he does come with papers. When he was born, his umbilical cord wrapped around his leg and his mother chewed it off unintentionally. That has not slowed him down! He is great with smaller and bigger dogs. He enjoys indoor life but also loves hanging out in the backyard getting some sun. He is skilled at hunting and catching vermin. We do not recommend him for homes with chickens/chicken coop/chicken runs as he will break in. That said, he is very adaptable and sweet, both on an adventure or lounging around. Meet Bluey today!

I rescued him from a shelter in March, and while I don't know what his life was like before then, it's clear he has been through a lot.He is the kind of dog who loves being near his people. He'll happily follow you from room to room just to see what you're doing and enjoys simply sitting beside you. While Dexter isn't comfortable being petted or picked up, he shows his affection by wanting to be close to the people he trusts. Once you've earned his confidence, he'll become your loyal little shadow.As much as I love him, I've made the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home because I have young children who don't fully understand that Dexter doesn't like being touched. With my kids and their friends frequently in the house, I can't provide the calm, predictable environment he needs to feel safe.
