Story
We are looking for a loving, stable home for our terrier chihuahua, Oscar. Oscar was adopted from a local shelter when he was about 8 months old and given the birthdate 2/14/2019. Oscar needs someone who doesn’t have young children around, and someone who is home a lot and doesn’t travel much. He has always been anxious/skiddish of guests, but he is especially fearful of men. That doesn’t mean he won’t chill out around them; it just takes a minute longer than a female. He has progressively gotten more and more temperamental over last couple years. He has nipped at almost all of our guests, but especially children who don’t know to give dogs space. He does not like people to pet him if he has not come to you and sniffed you out. We love Oscar, but our lifestyle with aging children is always on the go. He is used to walking twice a day. He has serious leash aggression, and so we walk with a buzz/beep collar so he knows to chill out.

Story
Little Debbie is a five-year-old Toy Rat Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier mix with a golden and white coat, adorable bob tail, and a gentle, affectionate nature. Weighing around 15 pounds, she forms deep bonds with her people and loves being close, often following along as a loyal companion throughout the day. She is ready to settle in after a daily 30 to 45 minute walk, spending lots of time snuggling, playing with her favorite “babies,” working on enrichment puzzles, or watching the world from a favorite window. She knows sit, shake, and “Give me a Kiss” and responds well to positive reinforcement. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines/heartworm prevention, had a recent healthy veterinary check and is managing a locating patella while working toward a healthier weight. A fenced yard or attentive leash is a must and will support her success. Continued guidance with leash manners, excitement around new experiences will help her to thrive! Little Debbie is happiest just being with her family

Story
Sadie is a rescue from Louisiana. She will be 6 in January, and weighs 25 lbs. I have a job that will take me away for 15-30 months. I can't take her. I want her back, but if I come back and everyone is attached and happy, then I will leave things be. If you agree to foster, I will financially support that. Sadie is a socialite and an escape artists. She doesn't go out of the yard if her people are not around. Daily walks and cuddles will make Sadie imprint on you. She loves to be under covers, and will get in bed and try to bury herself next to you. She is an amazing friend/companion. She loves car rides, and is well behaved when I take her into Walmart or HEB. If you have any other questions, please let me know. I love her and would love to find a temporary home for her while I'm gone.

Story
Seamus was found abandoned on a road. He is a cuddly, playful boy who gets along great with other dogs. It's not known how he will get along with children and cats, because he's never been around either, but from his personality, we expect he'll do fine with both. Seamus is pee pad trained but not truly housebroken yet. He's not yet neutered, but either will be prior to adoption, or part of the adoption fee will be refunded after proof of neutering. To find out more about Seamus, or arrange a time to see him, please call Alana at (417) 631-5201
