EJ is a fun, young hound. He needs someone active, with a big outdoor life that will take him on adventures. He is affectionate and loyal to those who show him love. He would prefer to be the only dog as he doesn't like to share. He is not good with cats or other smaller animals or small people. He really wants to be a working dog.   For more info about EJ and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612. March 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Story
Slinky is a large, ~11-month-old hound mix with a calm, easygoing personality and a gentle nature. He’s sweet, friendly, and gets along great with other dogs and cats. While a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and settles into a relaxed, low-key companion. Slinky is the kind of dog who brings a calm presence—he’s not high-energy or demanding, just happy to be part of a stable home. Good fit: someone looking for a big, chill dog who is easy to live with and enjoys a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Margo is a 3.5 year old female Redbone mix who weighs 70 pounds. She was starved before she was rescued so she will not share her food with another dog. Margo is very playful and loves having fun otherwise. She is good with people including children and other dogs. We do not know how she’d be with cats.   Margo is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/
