Story
Vada is currently in RI and is looking for a forever home! Vada is about 3 1/2 years old , 74 pounds, and beautiful! She is timid, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines.  She loves being outside, sniffing around on a quiet walk, or just enjoying some fresh air. Give her a squeaker toy and you’ll see her playful side come to life!  Vada is looking for a family who understands that building trust takes time, but the reward is so worth it. Once she trusts you, she’ll be your loyal shadow and best friend.  Vada would do best in an adult-only or older-children home, with a patient adopter who understands nervous dogs, AND a calm, confident canine sibling who will help her feel secure and show her that new things aren’t so scary after all.  Vada has so much love to give! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. Story
We adopted Remy when he was about seven months old from a breeder in New Hampshire who was no longer able to keep him. He had come from a very difficult and isolated living situation, and we felt we could give him the loving home he deserved. Since joining our family, Remy has been a wonderful companion. He is affectionate, playful, and loves being with his people. He has bonded closely with our family and is wonderful with our two boys. He enjoys being outside and would thrive with space to run and explore. Unfortunately, Remy has shown fear and hesitation around unfamiliar people entering the home. While we have been able to manage these behaviors, our household is very busy, with two children and a constant flow of friends and visitors. We are increasingly concerned that this environment is simply not the right fit for him and would love to find a home that will be quieter. Other dogs are okay! Please reach out if you think you are the right fit!

Story
EJ is a fun, young hound. He needs someone active, with a big outdoor life that will take him on adventures. He is affectionate and loyal to those who show him love. He would prefer to be the only dog as he doesn't like to share. He is not good with cats or other smaller animals or small people. He really wants to be a working dog.   For more info about EJ and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612. March 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Story
If joy had four legs and floppy ears, her name would be Bindi! This happy, outgoing 2-year-old Redbone Coonhound is bursting with personality and ready to bring laughter, love, and tail wags into her forever home. Bindi found her way to our Connecticut rescue after a foster-to-adopt plan with another rescue sadly fell through. While it wasn’t the ending she deserved, it turned out to be the perfect new beginning — because now Bindi gets a second chance to find the family that truly fits her. And trust us… she’s a catch.  Bindi is sweet, friendly, and social — the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere she goes. She’s wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, and absolutely thrives on attention, playtime, and being part of the action. Whether she’s romping around the yard, going for a sniff-filled walk, or soaking up belly rubs, Bindi does everything with enthusiasm and a big hound smile. As a true Redbone, Bindi loves to explore with her nose, but she’s also incredibly people-oriented and affectionate. She’s playful without being overwhelming, silly without being wild, and loving 100% of the time. A fun-loving hound with a heart of gold. Bindi is looking for a forever home that will embrace her joyful spirit and include her in everyday life — adventures, cuddles, laughter, and all. If your home could use more smiles, more love, and more tail wags, Bindi is ready to move in.

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If loving people were an Olympic sport, Boone the six-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix would take home the gold every single time! This 40-pound bundle of red-coated enthusiasm is friendly, playful, and so genuinely thrilled to be near his people that he has been known to get so excited during a good petting session that he ends up underfoot on the leash walk. He means well, he just really loves you. Boone knows sit, is quiet and calm in his crate, crate trained when on a schedule and is currently working on his housetraining. He is a smart boy and with consistency he will get there. Squeaky toys are basically Boone's love language, and he is happiest when he has a good squeak toy in his mouth, a dog friend to play with, and a human nearby ready to deliver belly rubs on demand. He is good with other dogs and friendly with strangers, and would do best in a home without cats. Boone would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard where he can burn off that glorious puppy energy and then come inside for the snuggles he so deeply deserves. He is young, enthusiastic, healthy, and has an absolutely enormous amount of love to give. If you are ready for a joyful, affectionate, and squeaky-toy-obsessed hound boy to join your family, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Story
From Molly's foster mom: I found this scared, emaciated Redbone Coonhound wandering on our property. She has scarring from an embedded collar or chain. I just had to take her in. She is eating well and gaining a little weight back. Molly is very sweet and gets along well with smaller dogs, large dogs, and puppies. Cats are unknown. She rarely barks. She is very friendly with adults, but she has not been around children. She is skittish when loud trucks go by on our road. She is improving on her leash walking and potty training. Molly is affectionate and just wants to be part of a loving family.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Sweet 7 month old Cosmo is 45lbs of love, fun and companionship who is looking for his forever home and sure to make you laugh. He is a hound through and through, he can sniff and explore with the best of them! If you are in the market for a hiking buddy, this is your boy! Cosmo would love an active family who will take him exploring, and it would be a bonus for him if there was another family dog, Cosmo really loves having his foster brothers and sisters around! While he loves everyone he meets, his foster mom describes him as a "dog's dog", he is currently living with 5 dogs of all sizes and a cat. When he is not playing with his doggy buddies or on the trail of some great scent in the back yard, he is cuddled up with his people or in his favorite lounge chair with a bone. Cosmo does really like children but given his age and hound energy, we feel he is better suited to families with older children. Cosmo is crate and housetrained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vetting. If you would like to make Cosmo a member of your family, please email bigyellowgoose018@gmail.com
