Story
Our handsome Fabio is that exceptional, all around family dog, that is rare in rescue. He loves everybody and has not flinched at all during a rescue process that leaves lesser dogs rattled.  We've been trying to piece together Fabio’s backstory, but there's not much to go on. He was found as a country stray, by Animal Control Officers in Charlotte County, North Carolina. Vets say that he is a two year old adult dog.  When no worried owner came forward to collect Fabio, he was transferred to our Connecticut Rescue so that we could script the next chapter of his life.  Throughout the chaotic rescue process, Fabio has been an absolute charmer. He is so full of life, love and personality. He is a gentle, sweet boy who loves everyone. Fabio still has a bit of the puppy Mojo going on, but he is easily exercised with a few daily leash walks. He is a super dog that would do well in any type of environment. Fabio needs a fair amount of exercise and focused playtime so that he does not become bored and get into mischief. He would benefit greatly from ongoing obedience training, which is helpful in providing additional mental stimulation. He is learning his commands, although he can become distracted easily, but he is treat motivated. He responds well to Positive Reinforcement and Leadership techniques, and seems to enjoy his training sessions. He seems to be a confident boy, ready and willing to work. Fabio has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. This delightful tricolor bundle of joy is about 2 years old and radiating happiness since being rescued after her family left her and her brother behind. Missy might be a bit bashful at first and may need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she does, you’ll have a loyal buddy for life. Missy does have some some social anxiety and needs a slow intoduction with new dogs, but she loves people of all ages. Missy's warm, expressive eyes and wagging tail tell a story of resilience and hope. She is up to date on all her vaccines, spayed, and on a monthly heartworm preventive. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, politely ignores barn cats (yes, ignores them… we were shocked too), and has zero interest in bothering horses. She’s basically the Switzerland of the animal world—neutral, peaceful, and minding her business. She would do great with a canine sibling that is looking for a BFF to play, snuggle and share life with. She is slightly on the wider side and could use a few more of those strolls, her ideal weight should be more around 60lbs. Bonus: she’s incredibly quiet and wonderfully well-mannered. She has done well on a leash and in a car. She will need all of the basic training but should learn quite fast. She is learning her name and is ready to go! Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders Transport Company.

This boy is a wonderful boy!! He is fun, friendly and ready to go. He gets along with other pups and should do well with kids. He loves to play and has the wonderful hound personality. He will need all the puppy training, and leash work, but should learn quite fast. He is ready for his new adventure with his forever family. Linus is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
