Waylen is a very talkative pup, and loves to run around the yard to play or sniff. He will need some work on his leash manners as he gets very excited when he is out and about and tends to pull on the leash. Waylen is very treat motivated, and very smart and will be excited to learn more with a patient owner! At this time Waylen knows sit, paw with both feet, and down! His favorite toy has been anything that makes noises and that he can chase around the yard! Waylen has been picky with the dogs he befriends and would do better as the only dog in the home or with a calm, non-reactive dog. He is very interested in cats, and may not be the best fit for any feline friends. We would be happy to cat-test Waylen further upon request. Dalia is a one-year old, 40 lbs red hound mix.  She is very sweet and curious.  She is good with other dogs and all people.  (She will chase cats - not aggressively but annoyingly so we recommend a cat-free home). You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Hounds! Such wonderful, loving, goofy dogs. And here is Hank, sweet right down to his red feet. How could he ever have made it into a rescue and not be beloved by his family? Well, Hank was born into a hunting family , but he refused to hunt. He didn't want to hurt any other animal! So, sweetness or not, he had to go. Here is what his foster has to say about him; 'Hank, low key calm guy. Not bothered by other dogs at all. Doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive.' He just wants to be a good ole boy and be loved. Because he is a hound, we are asking that his adopter have a physical fence to keep his nose from following any special scents. We have made sure he has all his shots , so he is ready to be your own special boy. Hi my name is Maverick.  I am an 8 month old Beagle Tree Walker Coonhound mix who weighs about 50 lbs.  I am currently living in rural middle Tennessee and am 'sort of' in trouble with my family.  We previously lived in a neighborhood but recently moved out in the country.  I am a super sweet and very loving boy.  I love people and am great with other dogs.  BUT in our new home there are these white things that walk around on two legs.  I like them too.  They are fun to chase and I got it trouble for that.  'STOP CHASING THE CHICKENS' is what I heard when I knew I was in trouble.  For that reason I need to find a new home.   I am sorry but I can't help it.  After all I am a mix of two hunting dogs.  I am ready to pack my bags.  Hopefully that will be to your house.  I am looking for an active home with another big young dog so that I have someone to play with.  I also need a fenced in yard so I don't get in any more trouble.  I currently live with a toddler and am very patient with her.  So you don't have to worry about that.  If you are looking for a big, goofy boy who will love you to pieces and give you plenty of kisses, then you have found him.  I am current on all my shots, neutered and microchipped.  I am ready to travel to my forever home.  To be considered for Maverick's forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne directly at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Maverick is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)December 3, 2023, 9:33 pm
