Meet Bocephus, your red-hot Redbone Coonhound adventure buddy! This stunning 2-year-old boy has a gorgeous red coat and soulful eyes that turn heads everywhere he goes. A true hound through and through, Bo follows his nose with passion and purpose, sniffing every leaf, tree, and interesting scent that dare cross his path. If there’s a story on the wind, Bo is determined to read it! When you first meet Bo, you’ll surely be greeted with a deep, classic hound bellow—his way of saying hello and announcing his excitement for life. On walks, he’s a delightful mix of sniffy wanderer and polite companion, but when something really grabs his attention, he’ll let you know with his “let me investigate that!” hound tug. He loves other dogs, is friendly with everyone he meets, and shows enthusiastic—but gentle—curiosity. Affectionate and sweet, Bo adores pets and takes treats with the softest mouth. As for commands, he’s not quite there yet—but with treats as motivation and his big, eager heart, he’s ready to learn. Since Bo has a healthy amount of energy and thrives outdoors, he’d be happiest with someone who enjoys walks, hikes, or just giving him plenty of sniffing time. Clyde is a 6 month old male Redbone Hound mix who weighs around 68 lbs. It’s possible he could be mixed with Bloodhound or Mastiff. Clyde was rescued with his mom and siblings from a very bad situation when they were babies. This big, beautiful boy is just absolutely adorable and so sweet! Who can resist that big, wrinkled forehead and those begging eyes. He loves to play but there is a gentleness even in his play. Clyde loves people including children and other dogs. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Hounds! Such wonderful, loving, goofy dogs. And here is Hank, sweet right down to his red feet. How could he ever have made it into a rescue and not be beloved by his family? Well, Hank was born into a hunting family , but he refused to hunt. He didn't want to hurt any other animal! So, sweetness or not, he had to go. Here is what his foster has to say about him; 'Hank, low key calm guy. Not bothered by other dogs at all. Doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive.' He just wants to be a good ole boy and be loved. Because he is a hound, we are asking that his adopter have a physical fence to keep his nose from following any special scents. Hank alos needs another friendly dog to help him get comfortable in his new home. We have made sure he has all his shots , so he is ready to be your own special boy. He promises to make you laugh when he runs about in your backyard or on a walk with those big ears flapping in the breeze. Ready for fun? Hank is your guy!
