Story
Current Location: Lovettsville, VA Meet Molly — The Sweetest Redbone Coonhound Mix With a Heart of Gold! Molly is a 2‑year‑old Redbone Coonhound mix who is equal parts tender, curious, and wonderfully goofy. With her soulful eyes and gentle spirit, she’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved — even if she’s still learning how the world works. This beautiful girl is sweet‑natured and truly wants to please, though her independent streak means she can be a bit stubborn at times. (Honestly, it just adds to her charm.) She’s incredibly intelligent and curious, which is a delight — but like many smart pups, she can get into mischief if left unsupervised. Molly LOVES to cuddle. She may look regal stretched out on the couch, but her favorite place is right next to her person, where she feels safe and connected. She’s still a little timid, so she appreciates a gentle voice, calm guidance, and someone who understands that confidence grows with time. When Molly feels unsure or doesn’t understand what’s being asked of her, she can get anxious — which for her means bursts of zoomies, wiggly excitement, or just getting a bit wound up. A patient, reassuring human helps her settle and learn that she’s doing just fine. One of Molly’s biggest accomplishments? She was a wonderful mama to her 8 puppies. She took such loving care of them, and now it's finally her turn to be cared for. Molly is looking for a family who can offer her patience, understanding, stability, and lots of love. With the right people, she will blossom into the affectionate, loyal, cuddly companion she’s meant to be. If you’re ready to cheer on a shy sweetheart as she grows braver every day — and enjoy endless snuggles along the way — Molly can’t wait to meet you. 💛🐶 I’m looking for my forever family! Story
Margo is a 3.5 year old female Redbone mix who weighs 70 pounds. She was starved before she was rescued so she will not share her food with another dog. Margo is very playful and loves having fun otherwise. She is good with people including children and other dogs. We do not know how she’d be with cats.   Margo is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- RUBY IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.Hi, I'm Ruby! Once a skilled hunter, I discovered a hidden grove with magical butterflies that whispered secrets of the world. Curious, I followed one and it led me here, to the shelter. I'm a bit shy but love cuddles and gentle touches. I'm also very sweet and curious about everything around me! I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and maybe some magical stories too. If you need a gentle companion to explore the quiet corners of life, I'm just the friend you need.Ruby is 3ys old, 55 lbs, spayed, and her adoption includes a microchip with lifetime registration, 4dx SNAP heartworm test, DHLPP, Bordetella, and rabies and parasite control. Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, a new lead and collar, and an adoption kit.Apply online:https://www.highlandcountyhumanesociety.org/available-animals/To contact us, please send an email or FB message to:Email: info@highlandcountyhumanesociety.orgFaceBook: www.facebook.com/HighlandHumaneWebsite: www.highlandcountyhumanesociety.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2025, 12:58 am
