Pup Chunky Monkey, his siblings, mom (pic included) and Aunt came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama after they were found abandoned on the side of the road—no place for this innocent family. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in, and now they are safe and ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve.
Chunky Monkey is everything you could want in a puppy—sweet, playful, affectionate, and always ready to make a new friend. He loves other dogs and is at the perfect age for training, socialization, and learning all the things that make great family companions. What Chunky Monkey wants most is a family who will love him forever and show him that he will never be left behind again. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
