Story
Honey came to us from a very rural and high kill shelter after the people that had her gave away or sold her puppies. When we heard about her story and what happened to her puppies, we jumped to save her. Honey is as sweet as her name suggests. She is a lovely redbone coonhound and all around terrific dog. She knows her name and responds nicely to it, she knows "sit" and "lay down", takes treats gently, good on a leash, wags her tail and is friendly to other dogs that come over to meet her. She's a really nice girl and anyone lucky enough to adopt Honey will have a wonderful companion. HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
Sleek, and handsome and a  personality that is full of excitement for learning and life, is what you find when you meet puppy Valor.  A male pup born on May 22nd to a Redbone Coonhound mix momma girl (very pretty too)  and he was part of a litter of a dozen pups.  Momma fed them well and the foster mom cared for them  equally as well.  This coal black boy with the fabulous long hound dog ears that glisten in the sun, will knock your socks off when you meet him.  Valor is full of zest and energy and an intelligence that is quickly obvious and fascinating. He sees every new situation as a challenge to be conquered. His puppy exuberance may mean that a home with really small children is not the best fit for him.  Older children could keep up and play more at his level and speed. Don't get us wrong.  Valor loves his lap time and when you hold him and rub his giant, velvety ears, he calms right down into a perfect gentleman.  We guess you could say that his 'button' to push are his ears! Destined to be a 50 pound adult dog this boy will be a stunning companion in looks and smarts as a dog to raise.  He will be easy.  If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  He is ready now!!! Please let us know where you live when emailing us.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 16, 2026, 10:58 pm

Story
Meet Gunner – The Little Hound Boy Who Believes Life Is One Big AdventureSome puppies are shy. Some are cautious. And then there's Gunner...the puppy who wakes up every morning convinced that today is going to be the best day ever.Born on May 22nd to a beautiful Redbone Hound mix mama who lovingly raised an amazing litter of 12 puppies, Gunner has inherited all of the best qualities from his sweet mom—his gentle nature, his intelligence, those irresistible floppy hound ears, and a heart that has never met a stranger. At just 12 pounds (destined to be 45 lbs as an adult), Gunner is already the life of the party. He has one of those carefree, happy-go-lucky personalities that makes people smile the moment they meet him. Whether it's children running through the yard, adults relaxing on the porch, or friends stopping by for a visit, Gunner is convinced they all came just to spend time with him. He loves being wherever his people are, happily following along to see what exciting thing might happen next. This handsome little boy wears a beautiful caramel-colored coat that's as warm as his personality. His soulful eyes and oversized hound ears give him an expression that's impossible to resist, and when he curls up beside you for a nap after a busy day of playing, you'll wonder how you ever lived without him.Gunner has mastered the art of giving puppy kisses and believes cuddles should be a regular part of every day. He'll chase toys, romp around the yard, wrestle with his siblings, and then happily settle down beside you, soaking up every bit of affection you have to give. His favorite place is simply wherever his family is.Now, there is one thing you should know about this sweet boy...if everyone else is having fun and Gunner gets left out, he'll make sure his opinion is heard! Thanks to those strong hound genes, he has the cutest little voice and isn't afraid to use it if he thinks he's missing out on the action. It's less of a bark and more of an adorable reminder that he fully intends to be included in every family adventure.Like every young puppy, Gunner is learning all about crate training, potty training, and becoming the wonderful companion he's destined to be. He's smart, eager to learn, and has the kind of loving, adaptable personality that will fit beautifully into an active family or with someone looking for a loyal best friend. If you've been hoping to find a puppy who will make you laugh, cover you in kisses, keep you company on every adventure, and remind you every single day to enjoy life's simple moments, Gunner may just be your perfect match. He's ready now to begin the greatest adventure of all—a lifetime with the family he's been waiting for. Could that be you?  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are the ONE for Gunner.
