To learn more about Candy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Candy will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Candy is a gorgeous caramel-colored Redbone Coonhound mix whose name fits her perfectly! She’s as sweet as caramel candy and just as irresistible. With her velvety coat glowing in warm amber tones and that magnificent hound nose leading the way, she turns heads everywhere she goes. Candy is friendly and energetic, and has done well playing with other dogs, happily joining in games and social time, showing off both her playful side and her easygoing nature. In true hound fashion, she loves to sniff on her walks ( who wouldn’t ?), but equally enjoys a good game of tug and searching for treats in a snuffle mat. She knows how to ‘sit’ and takes treats gently. If you’re looking for a best friend with a big nose for adventure and an even bigger heart for love, Candy is ready to caramel-melt her way right into yours.

Story
Rhemy (Remmee) is a big, beautiful, sweet, and incredibly affectionate boy who brings so much love to everyone around him. He’s a scent hound at heart, which means he thrives when he has space to explore, follow his nose, and truly be himself. Because of a recent heath challenge and downsizing during my divorce, I’m no longer able to give Rhemy the environment he needs. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I know it’s the right one for him. He deserves a home with a large fenced yard or property where he can run freely and happily. Rhemy is deeply loved, and it means everything to me that he finds a home where he’ll be just as cherished. If you have the space and the heart for a wonderful dog like him, I would be so grateful to connect.

Story
Meet Oliver! At just 5 months old and 22 pounds, Oliver is the definition of puppy perfection wrapped in a gorgeous red coat. This sweet boy is growing fast, learning every day, and ready to find a family to call his own. Oliver is playful, curious, and full of that irresistible puppy energy—but he also has a softer side. He loves to settle into a cozy spot with a chew toy and watch the world go by, especially if it means being close to his people. He’s the kind of pup who will happily follow you from room to room, just wanting to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s still a baby, so he’ll need a family committed to continuing his training, helping him learn good manners, and giving him plenty of exercise and enrichment. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend who will grow up right alongside you. Oliver is looking for a home that will embrace all the fun (and a little chaos!) that comes with raising a puppy—and turn it into a lifetime of love. Could Oliver be your new best friend? The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect’s preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Jeannette Jbingaman@petconnectrescue.org **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Looking for a Foster or Adopter If you’re looking for a dog who is 100% puppy energy and sweetness, Skipper might just be your guy. This handsome 10 month old redbone hound with floppy helicopter ears, is full of enthusiasm for everything around him. Skipper is strong but does well on leash with a reminder here and there, he’s just excited to see the world! He’s playful and curious. He is dog friendly and loves making dog friends. While Skipper hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, he definitely loves to play and interact with his people. His favorite activity? Giving kisses. Lots and lots of kisses. If you have exposed skin, Skipper considers it fair game for a round of enthusiastic puppy affection. We don’t know how he will do around children or cats. Crate time isn’t his favorite at first, and it may take a minute to convince him to go in, but once he’s settled he relaxes quietly without any fuss. Skipper is a sweet boy who just wants attention, affection, and someone to share his joyful puppy spirit with. With a little guidance, structure and training, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion. He’s going to grow into a large dog 60lbs+, so keep that in mind when considering him for a companion.
