Story
Meet Gunner – The Little Hound Boy Who Believes Life Is One Big AdventureSome puppies are shy. Some are cautious. And then there's Gunner...the puppy who wakes up every morning convinced that today is going to be the best day ever.Born on May 22nd to a beautiful Redbone Hound mix mama who lovingly raised an amazing litter of 12 puppies, Gunner has inherited all of the best qualities from his sweet mom—his gentle nature, his intelligence, those irresistible floppy hound ears, and a heart that has never met a stranger. At just 12 pounds (destined to be 45 lbs as an adult), Gunner is already the life of the party. He has one of those carefree, happy-go-lucky personalities that makes people smile the moment they meet him. Whether it's children running through the yard, adults relaxing on the porch, or friends stopping by for a visit, Gunner is convinced they all came just to spend time with him. He loves being wherever his people are, happily following along to see what exciting thing might happen next. This handsome little boy wears a beautiful caramel-colored coat that's as warm as his personality. His soulful eyes and oversized hound ears give him an expression that's impossible to resist, and when he curls up beside you for a nap after a busy day of playing, you'll wonder how you ever lived without him.Gunner has mastered the art of giving puppy kisses and believes cuddles should be a regular part of every day. He'll chase toys, romp around the yard, wrestle with his siblings, and then happily settle down beside you, soaking up every bit of affection you have to give. His favorite place is simply wherever his family is.Now, there is one thing you should know about this sweet boy...if everyone else is having fun and Gunner gets left out, he'll make sure his opinion is heard! Thanks to those strong hound genes, he has the cutest little voice and isn't afraid to use it if he thinks he's missing out on the action. It's less of a bark and more of an adorable reminder that he fully intends to be included in every family adventure.Like every young puppy, Gunner is learning all about crate training, potty training, and becoming the wonderful companion he's destined to be. He's smart, eager to learn, and has the kind of loving, adaptable personality that will fit beautifully into an active family or with someone looking for a loyal best friend. If you've been hoping to find a puppy who will make you laugh, cover you in kisses, keep you company on every adventure, and remind you every single day to enjoy life's simple moments, Gunner may just be your perfect match. He's ready now to begin the greatest adventure of all—a lifetime with the family he's been waiting for. Story
Sleek, and handsome and a  personality that is full of excitement for learning and life, is what you find when you meet puppy Travis.  A male pup born on May 22nd to a Redbone Coonhound mix momma girl (very pretty too)  and he was part of a litter of a dozen pups.  Momma fed them well and the foster mom cared for them  equally as well.  This coal black boy with the fabulous long hound dog ears that glisten in the sun, will knock your socks off when you meet him.  Travis is full of zest and energy and an intelligence that is quickly obvious and fascinating. He sees every new situation as a challenge to be conquered. His puppy exuberance may mean that a home with really small children is not the best fit for him.  Older children could keep up and play more at his level and speed. Don't get us wrong.  Travis loves his lap time and when you hold him and rub his giant, velvety ears, he calms right down into a perfect gentleman.  We guess you could say that his 'button' to push are his ears! Destined to be a 50 pound adult dog this boy will be a stunning companion in looks and smarts as a dog to raise.  He will be easy.  If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  He is ready now!!! Please let us know where you live when emailing us.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 26, 2026, 8:50 pm

Nothing prettier than our little girl Hound/Lab mix puppy we call Taylor.  She has a brief shy moment at first and demur personality when you first meet her, but soon that disappears as she makes you a trusted new friend. > In time, you will discover her kindness, loyalty, and how much she loves to cuddle. Born on May 22nd to a litter of 12 puppies (mom is a Redbone Coonhound) we have found Taylor to be one of those typical cute puppies love to chew and dig. Really enjoys playing outside, is housebroken, crate trained and really good around cats, dogs, and small children. She loves to play with toys and other animals. We predict her to become a 50 pound adult that will be beautiful and strong and loving.  If you are interested in this wonderful little puppy, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Espresso! ☕ Born on May 22 as one of 12 adorable puppies to a beautiful Redbone Coonhound mix mom, Espresso is a playful, adventurous girl with a personality all her own. Her mom is a 50 pound girl and we feel that daughter Espresso will be as well. At 12 weeks she is barely  12 pounds.   >  Espresso is affectionate—but on her own terms! She's an independent puppy who enjoys exploring, investigating new places, and figuring things out for herself. While she's confident doing her own thing, she also loves spending time with her sister, Caramel.   >  True to her name, Espresso is always ready to go! Playtime is her favorite time, and she has plenty of energy to burn. She's a bit of a tomboy who enjoys rough-and-tumble puppy play, so any interactions with other pets should be supervised while she continues learning appropriate doggie social skills. Espresso would thrive in a home with a larger, calm, well-socialized dog who can help teach her good play manners and when it's time to take a break.   >  When it comes to training, food is definitely the way to Espresso's heart! She's highly treat-motivated and eager to learn when snacks are involved. She's already doing well with potty training and understands what 'potty' means when she's outside. She's still learning that her crate is a safe, cozy place and will benefit from continued positive crate training.   >  Like any growing puppy, Espresso is currently teething and thinks almost everything looks like a chew toy. A puppy-proofed home and plenty of appropriate chew toys will help keep her happy—and your belongings safe!  One thing Espresso has already mastered is riding in the car. She settles in quickly and makes an excellent travel companion for errands or adventures.   > Overall, Espresso is a sweet, spirited puppy with a fun-loving personality and an independent streak. With clear boundaries, consistency, patience, and positive training, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. If you're looking for an adventurous best friend who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more exciting, Espresso may be the perfect addition to your family.    Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in her.  Please let us know the4 city and state that you live when inquiring.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and can reach all the northeastern states outside of Tennessee starting with North Carolina.

Story
Meet Clyde! Clyde is a hound who is officially ready for his fresh start. He had been heartworm positive, but has successfully completed his treatment and is now ready to put all of that behind him and get on with the important stuff—being a dog! Clyde takes that job very seriously. He’s silly, playful, incredibly sweet, and absolutely loves people. He’s good with kids, gets along with other dogs, and has a face that constantly says, “Oh! You’re here! I wasn’t expecting you!”Of course, Clyde is a hound, which means he comes with all the classic hound features—including the sound system. His opinions are not always expressed quietly, so an apartment may not be his ideal living situation. But if you have room in your life for a sweet, goofy hound with a big personality and eyes that always look mildly shocked by your existence, Clyde would love to meet you.

Story
-ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 80-100 lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: DOB: 2/6/26 -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Excellent. Kobe adores other dogs of all ages and sizes and loves to play. -KNOWN WITH CATS: Yes. Kobe is curious about cats and would love to play with them. He is doing very well learning to read and respect the resident cat’s boundaries. -KNOWN WITH KIDS: Excellent. Kobe loves kids of all ages and has lived happily with children. -KNOWN CUES: Kobe is smart, treat-motivated, and learning quickly. He is currently working on basic manners, leash skills, and settling. Like any six-month-old puppy, continued training will be important—especially since he’s going to be a big boy! -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Kobe is mostly housebroken, although he still has an occasional puppy accident. He does great in his crate and sleeps comfortably in it overnight. During the day, he may complain for a minute if he can hear people elsewhere in the house, but he settles quickly. -KNOWN LIKES: Cuddles, other dogs, people, kids, walks, sniffing, playing, treats, and being wherever his humans are. -KNOWN DISLIKES: Nothing significant identified. He can initially be a little cautious with unfamiliar people but warms up quickly. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Kobe (formerly Baldur) came into foster care with his mama, Bindi, and littermates when he was just a couple of days old. He was adopted as a puppy and recently returned to our care through no fault of his own. Now six months old and nearly 60 pounds, he’s grown from the fluffy little puppy we knew into one very big, very lovable goofball. His DNA shows he is primarily Rottweiler and American Foxhound, and he will be a large dog when fully grown. Notes from the foster: Kobe is a big, lovable goofball who is still very much a six-month-old puppy and has absolutely no idea how big he is! At nearly 60 pounds (and still growing), he’s playful, curious, smart, affectionate, and an absolute cuddle bug. He loves people, is wonderful with kids, and adores other dogs of all ages and sizes. He’s curious about the resident cat and would really like him to be a playmate, but he’s doing well learning to respect boundaries. Kobe can be a little cautious when first meeting someone new, but he warms up quickly. Kobe is mostly housebroken and sleeps beautifully in his crate at night. He may protest briefly if crated during the day while he can still hear his people, but settles down. He loves walks, sniffing, playing, toys, treats, and being wherever his humans are. He can also be a little mouthy when excited or playing—typical puppy behavior that we’re working on redirecting to toys. Kobe is a very big puppy with an equally big heart. He’ll do best with a family ready to continue his training, give him plenty of opportunities to play and explore, and appreciate the occasional reminder that nearly 60 pounds is probably too big to be a lap dog. Kobe, however, strongly disagrees. ❤️ If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: Anne at annehtar@gmail.com PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Fill out the application and we will follow up with you!
