Story
Honey came to us from a very rural and high kill shelter after the people that had her gave away or sold her puppies. When we heard about her story and what happened to her puppies, we jumped to save her. Honey is as sweet as her name suggests. She is a lovely redbone coonhound and all around terrific dog. She knows her name and responds nicely to it, she knows "sit" and "lay down", takes treats gently, good on a leash, wags her tail and is friendly to other dogs that come over to meet her. She's a really nice girl and anyone lucky enough to adopt Honey will have a wonderful companion. HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
To learn more about Candy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Candy will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Candy is a gorgeous caramel-colored Redbone Coonhound mix whose name fits her perfectly! She’s as sweet as caramel candy and just as irresistible. With her velvety coat glowing in warm amber tones and that magnificent hound nose leading the way, she turns heads everywhere she goes. Candy is friendly and energetic, and has done well playing with other dogs, happily joining in games and social time, showing off both her playful side and her easygoing nature. In true hound fashion, she loves to sniff on her walks (who wouldn’t?), but equally enjoys a good game of tug, searching for treats in a snuffle mat, and carrying around her favorite toys. She knows how to "sit," takes treats gently, is fully potty trained, and does wonderfully in her crate. Candy is also a world-class cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up beside her people—or even on top of them if you'll let her! If you're looking for a best friend with a big nose for adventure and an even bigger heart for love, Candy is ready to caramel-melt her way right into yours. She would make a fantastic companion for an active family, whether you're heading out for long walks, a run, or simply enjoying time together at home. Her goofy personality, affectionate nature, and love of adventure make her an all-around wonderful companion.

Please contact Hayley Silverman (hayley.silverman@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Hot on the scent of his furever home!BAYOU NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!     Come meet Bayou and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (06/21) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)! Name: Bayou          Best Guess for Breed: Redbone Coonhound Mix   Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of April 2026          SEX: Male   Approximate Weight: 47 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Bayou is Looking For: His forever home - his own humans for romps and world exploration! He takes in the world with an eagerness, ever so curious about new places, new sights, and new friends! When the day winds down, Bayou is just as happy settling in for some quiet company. With his warm personality and gentle nature, he’s ready to meet his forever family and live happily ever after. What My Foster Says About Me: 'Bayou is such a great dog! In the home, he's well-mannered and hasn't had any accidents. He sleeps in our bedroom overnight but is crated when we're all out of the house and is quiet when he's in there. And he's always up for a great petting/scritching session.  But it's when he's in the great outdoors that he truly shines and thrives! He loves his walkies so much. He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and. needs to move a lot! We've been to many places in our part of the city - he walks with such confidence, ignoring city noises, eager to see what's ahead, what's right around the corner. When we went to Eastern Market, he got so much attention and so much love and he enjoyed it all! I've also taken him to fenced spots where he can run and burn off that energy and he loves running! (Note: He's not your typical hound - he doesn't follow his nose. He really enjoys looking all around him and stays with me very well.) He adores playing with pup pals too. His play style is more on the gentle side - we had an 8 year old dog a little larger than he is over, and they had great games of tug.  Bayou is an all around wonderful dog who will continue to blossom and thrive as he makes new pals (people and pup alike) and experiences new environments. He and his family will be so lucky to have each other.'  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
2 years, 51 pounds Personality: playful, smart, calm, affectionate, eager-to-please, outgoing, loyal, adaptable, snuggler, goofy/funny Meet Lovey, who lives up to her name and be sure to win over your heart with her gentle and kind personality. She loves everyone she meets and will entice new human friends to give her pets and attention. Described as a “low-maintenance companion” by her foster, this low-key girl is content to nap on the couch or entertain herself with a bone — but also occasionally has zoomies once or twice a day, showing her playful side. Her beautiful coat makes her a pleasure to pet and she boasts the softest ears. Lovey is working on house-training, though she knows “go potty” and is crate-trained. Her foster noted that Lovey is comfortable spending time in her crate while they are in the office and generally lays down and rests. She does well with other dogs, as her current foster has another pup who Lovey gets along with and likes to play with. Sometimes everyday loud noises might startle her.
