Her Story: She came to us as a grieving mama who lost all of the puppies in her litter except one, and fought a brave battle against heartworm. But don't let her history tug at your heartstrings too hard—Citrine isn't looking for pity; she’s looking for a couch! Despite everything, her spirit remains unbroken and her temperament is as sweet as clover honey. Why You’ll Fall in Love At 52 lbs, She is the "Goldilocks" size—sturdy enough for a hike, but perfectly shaped for a snuggle. House Training Pro: She is 100% house-trained and takes great pride in her good manners. The Neighborhood Explorer: She absolutely loves her daily walks. Granby is a handsome 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix. He has had a lot of change in his life and is seeking new accommodations. First, his human died and then his best buddy who was a cat died. He finds himself a little out of sorts with folks who are keeping him safe but not dog people. He is house trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative about strangers coming to the house and needs to work on proper introductions or put in another room or crate if guests are over. Granby has 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him that will transfer to his adopter (Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel in DMV area). His ideal home is a quiet one without children and lots of people coming and going. We are seeking an adopter who has Fox Hound or dog experience who knows how to show leadership to a pup. He weighs 70 pounds and is full grown. Adoption fee is waived, but approval process is not. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. She is a sweet and caring dog Who has definite potential to become a service animal or an emotional support animal. Her instinct to comfort Is amazing. She knows before I do that i'm getting too stressed out. Stella is a hound in the fact that she loves to run!!! She needs a lot of space to run, and explore. She does not do well with small dogs, and she may take a little bit to find her place in a pack of dogs. But when she finds her place she is amazing.
