Story
Meet Citrine! Hobbies include: staring at the ground waiting for little critters, hiking, curling up in a good spot, eating (kindred spirit here), and being loved on. They say the strongest hearts have the most scars, and one look into Citrine’s soulful eyes proves it. After a truly difficult start in life, this 3-year-old Foxhound mix is finally ready to retire from her past and become the center of someone’s world. Her Story: She came to us as a grieving mama who lost all of the puppies in her litter except one, and fought a brave battle against heartworm. But don't let her history tug at your heartstrings too hard—Citrine isn't looking for pity; she’s looking for a couch! Despite everything, her spirit remains unbroken and her temperament is as sweet as clover honey. Why You’ll Fall in Love At 52 lbs, She is the "Goldilocks" size—sturdy enough for a hike, but perfectly shaped for a snuggle. House Training Pro: She is 100% house-trained and takes great pride in her good manners. The Neighborhood Explorer: She absolutely loves her daily walks. She’s a dream on the leash and enjoys taking in all the sniffs the neighborhood has to offer. Crate Optional: She is crate trained and uses it like a pro, but honestly? She’s so trustworthy she doesn’t even need it. Professional Lounger: Whether it’s the sofa, a plush dog bed, or just a sunny spot on the rug, She is a world-class napper. She’s just happy to be where you are. The Ideal Home: Citrine is looking for a friend, a person or family to spend her life with. She has a gentle, low-key energy with a silly side that makes her a great companion for just about anyone (sorry, she's just not into fetch. You can't expect her to be perfect can you?) She loves the companionship of other dogs but is happy solo as well. She has done excellent with her foster's 2 rambunctious children and is not phased at all by their energy! She has shown no signs of resource guarding or aggression. Whether it's a quiet house or chaotic one, Citrine is a gem! Don't sleep on her, sign up to meet her and see for yourself! After everything she’s been through, She has so much love left to give. She just needs a human who will promise her that the "rough start" is officially over. Adoption Day: April 4th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2662539##

Story
Meet Millie: Your Future Best Friend! Born in Texas on May 27, 2023, Millie entered the world as one of nine beautiful puppies. Her mom is believed to be a purebred Harrier, though her dad remains a mystery. Millie’s journey to our rescue began when her foster could no longer secure a permanent home for her and her siblings. Like many pups in Texas, she faced the heartbreaking risk of abandonment, starvation, or euthanasia. Thankfully, she found her way to us, and now she’s searching for a loving forever home. This smart, playful, and easygoing pup is expected to grow to about 50-60 pounds, making her the perfect family companion. She is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped. If Millie has captured your heart, visit serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information or to submit an application!

Story
Granby is a handsome 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix. He has had a lot of change in his life and is seeking new accommodations. First, his human died and then his best buddy who was a cat died. He finds himself a little out of sorts with folks who are keeping him safe but not dog people. He is house trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative about strangers coming to the house and needs to work on proper introductions or put in another room or crate if guests are over. Granby has 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him that will transfer to his adopter (Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel in DMV area). His ideal home is a quiet one without children and lots of people coming and going. We are seeking an adopter who has Fox Hound or dog experience who knows how to show leadership to a pup. He weighs 70 pounds and is full grown. Adoption fee is waived, but approval process is not. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. If you are interested in fostering to adopt, please fill out the online application: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ If you have been approved within the past 6 months and are interested in Granby, please reply to your approval email. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, future family! I'm Kacey, a sweet, happy-go-lucky dog who’s always ready for an adventure, especially if that involves walks, tasty treats, and cozy snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love, I could be your perfect match! Currently, I’m living in a foster home with my amazing foster parents and three lovely foster furry sisters. I get along great with other dogs, and I'm not one to stir up drama—I prefer to keep the peace! I’m low-key and enjoy being calm, cool, and collected, so I’ll happily step aside if things get tense. No food or toy aggression here—just a big bundle of joy ready to share! If you’re wondering about my energy level—well, I’m definitely a goofball! I get the happiest feet when it's time to eat or when I see you, and I’m always up for a good cuddle session. While I get along wonderfully with other dogs, I could also thrive as the only dog in your life—I’ll be all yours! I’m potty trained and crate trained (I know, I’m pretty awesome!). I’ll let you know when I need to go out by pacing or barking at the door—though, fair warning, I may need a little time to adjust to a new potty routine when I first move in. I'm also a pro on a leash, and I LOVE going for walks or hitting up the dog park. Oh, and did I mention I’m an excellent road trip buddy? I’m so chill in the car, you might forget I’m even there! I’ll just snuggle up in the backseat and enjoy the ride. Key Facts About Me: &#239&#130&#183 Great with dogs &#239&#130&#183 Super friendly and affectionate with adults &#239&#130&#183 Crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained &#239&#130&#183 Not picky about food (bring on the treats!) &#239&#130&#183 Would be happy as your solo dog or a companion to other pups &#239&#130&#183 Cautious with new people (but warm up quickly once I trust you) If you think I could be your perfect companion, let’s meet! I can’t wait to start our forever journey together. Story
Stella is a five year old american fox hound. My family and I adopted her in june of 2025. She is a sweet and caring dog Who has definite potential to become a service animal or an emotional support animal. Her instinct to comfort Is amazing. She knows before I do that i'm getting too stressed out. Stella is a hound in the fact that she loves to run!!! She needs a lot of space to run, and explore. She does not do well with small dogs, and she may take a little bit to find her place in a pack of dogs. But when she finds her place she is amazing.
