Hi&#44 Im Presley! Im a very social guy who loves people and can get a bit bouncy with excitement. Story
Meet Hemi! This handsome guy was an owner surrender at not fault of his own with his son Roscoe. Unfortunately their previous owners living arrangements changed and could no longer keep them. We do have Roscoe and Hemi as a bonded pair but we are not requiring them to be adopted out together, but if we could get them out together that would be great. Hemi is a lot different personality wise than Roscoe is, Hemi is very confident with himself. Just like his son Roscoe, Hemi loves the water and loves walks. He also really loves boat rides. Hemi did live in a home with kids and a cat and did great with them. Hemi also will sound his own alarm and is a vocal boy. We had a generous person donate towards the care of Roscoe (Redbone coon hound mix, 40lbs a year old) and Hemi (Redbone Coon hound, 62lbs, just over a year and a half). They were both Neutered today, they received their rabies shot, and they are both heartworm negative. They went to Richmond Animal Richmond Animal League today for their care (Thank you RAL for taking great care of them) and the wonderful staff at RAL said they were both on their best behavior and just as sweet as ever. Hopefully this donation towards their vet care will help these 2 get adopted. They are both absolutely beautiful and sweet as can be. Must see in person. Big thank you to Salem's Light for covering the rest of the surgery fees. You guys are amazing

Story
Fergi and Fetti (her mom) were taken from a local hunter, due to inadequate conditions. They are very sweet, but have never lived inside a home. They need a hero to come adopt and teach them about the good life inside a home. They do climb chain link fences, so they need homes who can contain them. Call New Kent at 804-966-9500

Story
We got Buccee from the Richmond Animal League. He is 2 years old. He is anxious but is getting better each day. He does not bark at anyone. Loud noises frighten him, so young kids may be overwhelming. He is also getting better with this. He loves his crate, it is his safe space. He is currently being potty trained, and very, very rarely has accidents in the house. He is not violent at all. He is very quiet, other than when he is excited to eat lol.He is not destructive either. He is good around cats, but my kitty unfortunately did not like him. He is very sweet and playful once he feels comfortable with you.

Story
If you are looking for a loyal outdoor companion with a heart of gold, say hello to Kahlua—an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who defines “good ole’ boy” in the best possible way. Around 60 pounds of love and sweetness, Kahlua lives for sunshine, breezes, rustling leaves, and long, thoughtful walks. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life—he notices everything, appreciates the little things, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Kahlua has impeccable manners. Need to tie your shoe? He’ll stop and wait. Collar slips off? He’ll walk right over so you can fix it. He listens beautifully and truly wants to please his person. He also has a fun side—he loves squeaky toys, playing fetch (sharing the ball is a work in progress!), giving kisses, and being tucked in under cozy blankets like the pampered hound he is.  This boy is also a lake and boat enthusiast—a true water bug who will happily join you for every lakeside adventure. He grew up with other dogs and prefers being the “big guy,” doing well with respectful smaller dogs or calmer companions. Solo walks? He’s relaxed and steady. With bigger, energetic dogs? He may pull a bit in excitement. Kahlua loves kids who treat him kindly and is friendly toward cats, even though he didn’t share a home with them before. Above all else, Kahlua is drawn to people who make him feel loved—give him attention and he’ll give you his whole heart. He does get springtime seasonal allergies, so starting Apoquel in February or early March keeps him feeling his best. It’s a simple bit of care for a dog who gives so much sweetness in return. Kahlua’s former mama adored him deeply but faced life changes that made caring for him impossible. Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can spend his years surrounded by stability, love, comfort, and a family who appreciates everything he has to offer. Kahlua is ready to be someone’s best friend. If you want a loyal companion with an old soul and endless love to share, come meet this wonderful boy.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in giving this boy the years of his life as your best sidekick ever   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:57 am

Story
Barney is the kind of dog that makes people stop mid-sentence and say, “Now that is a Bloodhound.” Born May 20, 2025, he’s still very much a baby at heart—even if that baby already weighs 75 pounds and is expected to grow well past 100 as he matures. Big, goofy, gentle, and full of personality, Barney is as sweet as he is stunning.   He has the perfect mix of playful energy and laidback charm. One minute he’s romping around the house with his tiny Parsons Russell Terrier girlfriend like a clumsy, oversized puppy playing hide and seek, and the next he’s sprawled across the floor looking completely content with life. Watching the two of them wrestle and chase each other is pure comedy and proof that best friends don’t have to come in matching sizes.   Barney is fully house trained and has wonderful manners in the home. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and is perfectly comfortable with cats. His long ears are still growing into him, his rich crimson coat shines, and he is healthy, strong, and thriving. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations.   Despite his future “small pony” size, Barney believes he belongs as close to his person as possible. Lap dog may not be realistic, but resting his big hound head on your shoulder absolutely is. He wants to be wherever you are and would happily ride shotgun for every errand, road trip, or adventure you can dream up.   Because of his size and hound instincts, Barney will need a fenced yard or plenty of safe space where he can stretch those long legs and explore. More than anything, he wants a person to call his own—a sidekick for life. Bring Barney home and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without a Bloodhound.   Ready to go now. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 19, 2026, 12:14 pm
