Story
Copper is pure sunshine in puppy form. This adorable 3-month-old girl is bursting with personality, happiness, and playful energy, and she approaches every single day like it is the best adventure ever. She is currently thriving in a loving foster home where her silly, affectionate personality has completely stolen everyone’s hearts. She is one of those puppies that makes a home feel happier just by being in it. Copper is the more outgoing of the two siblings and absolutely loves being involved in everything. If you are moving, she wants to know where you are going. If you sit down, she wants to climb into your lap. If there is fun happening somewhere, she is already there ready to join in. She has this wonderful happy-go-lucky spirit and brings so much life and laughter wherever she goes. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/ENA0mYrcuv4?si=UVfPXQtr_vmOlRs7 This sweet girl is incredibly playful and can entertain herself with just about anything. Toys, sticks, blankets, leaves blowing outside — everything is exciting to Copper. She loves running around with other dogs, bouncing through the house with goofy puppy confidence, and finding creative ways to turn ordinary moments into playtime. Watching her play is impossible not to smile at because she throws her whole tiny self into everything she does with complete joy. But underneath all that playful energy is an incredibly affectionate and loving puppy. Copper absolutely adores people and wants to be close to her humans as much as possible. She is the kind of puppy that follows you around from room to room because she genuinely just loves being part of your day. After she finishes playing, she is perfectly happy curling up beside you for cuddles and naps. She has a wonderful balance of playful and affectionate that makes her such an easy puppy to fall in love with. She is still learning puppy basics and is currently working on crate training and potty training in her foster home. She is making great progress and, with consistency and patience, should continue doing wonderfully. Like any young puppy, she is still figuring things out, but she is smart, eager, and full of love. Copper does beautifully with other dogs and absolutely loves having playmates. She would thrive in an active, loving home that wants a puppy involved in everyday life — whether that means walks, adventures, playtime in the yard, movie nights on the couch, or simply following her people around the house. She has such a social, affectionate personality and truly loves being connected to her family. There is something incredibly special about Copper’s spirit. She is goofy, joyful, cuddly, and overflowing with love. She has the kind of personality that keeps people laughing one minute and melting into a puddle the next because she is just so sweet. She is still such a tiny baby with so much growing and learning ahead of her, and she deserves a family that will cherish every stage of it. Copper is not just adorable — she is the kind of puppy that becomes your little shadow, your daily source of happiness, and a best friend for years to come. Story
URGENT: Cash Needs a Safe Haven by May 15th   Cash is a beautiful 6-year-old, 55-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who has spent his entire life as a deeply loved family companion. Now, through no fault of his own, he is facing a critical deadline to find a new home—or even a foster—by May 15th.   Cash has always had a sensitive, gentle nature. While he has thrived in a calm and predictable home, recent changes have been overwhelming for him. The addition of a baby who is now a busy, walking toddler has brought constant movement, noise, and unpredictability into his world. For a dog who depends on peace and routine to feel secure, it has simply become too much. Cash isn’t acting out—he’s anxious and no longer feels that sense of safety in the place he once called home.   Despite this, Cash is an incredibly loving dog. He is a true snuggler and a couch companion who finds joy in being close to his people. He loves human connection and does well playing with other dogs, making him an easy and rewarding addition to the right home. What he needs now is a quieter environment, ideally with older children or adults, where he can relax, rebuild his confidence, and feel at peace again.   His family loves him deeply, and this decision is heartbreaking, but they know it is what’s best for him. They want Cash to have the chance to truly thrive in a home that fits his needs.   Even a foster home would be a lifesaving solution while a permanent home is found.   Time is critical. Cash must have a place to go by May 15th. There are no other options.   If you can help give Cash the calm, safe space he so desperately needs, please reach out right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com or text 615-661-5333.   Please share—his second chance could be just one person away. ❤️   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 22, 2026, 10:26 pm

Story
If joy had ears, they’d look a lot like Brooklyn Cherry. This happy girl brings the kind of upbeat, feel-good energy that makes everyone around her smile without even trying. She’s always in a good mood, always ready for fun, and those expressive ears just add to her already irresistible charm. Beyond her adorable looks, Brooklyn Cherry is incredibly smart, dog friendly, loves her toys, and strikes that perfect balance between playful adventure buddy and snuggly companion. Watch her video and fall in love with her amazing personality: https://youtu.be/U_TBkOb-19M?si=Nl3KaCKo5UAzVATy Brooklyn Cherry is believed to be a Shepherd mix approximately 1-2 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Just based off looks, there are sprinkles of so many amazing breeds that it's hard for us to narrow it down without doing a DNA test (which we would love to see if her future adopters do one). We can see Rhodesian Ridgeback with her coloring and frame, along with German Shepherd with those ears, and with legs like that, she may even have Great Dane sprinkled in there too. We may never know, but regardless of what her DNA says, she is the perfect blend in our eyes. Brooklyn is dog friendly and gets along well with other dogs who enjoy and can match her play style. She’s the “roughhousing in the yard” kind of girl -playful and physical, and so much fun to watch. When dogs are confident and enjoy that same type of play, she thrives. Brooklyn has made some wonderful dog friends who she plays beautifully with. You can see her big goofy grin and those paws in the air and know she is having a blast! Brooklyn would do best in a home with a moderately playful dog that likes to play and one that also likes to hangout and relax. If you don't have other dogs, that's okay too! She would be great as a solo dog as she does not need the constant play to keep her entertained or the companionship to help her open up and be comfortable. Brooklyn is a happy social butterfly all on her own and she would love to be the center of your world. Her basics are already solid too! Brooklyn is fully potty and crate trained, and a quick learner. She already knows some basic commands, like sit and has a pretty decent recall already. Brooklyn is fairly easy to walk on a leash and will be a great adventure buddy! She does pull occasionally out of excitement or if she wants to go sniff something but is easy to correct. She aims to please and loves to learn new things too. She knows how to sit, shake, down, and can learn so much more. This girl really can do it all. With the right training and guidance, there’s nothing you can throw her way she wouldn’t be able to do. She would be the perfect adventure companion to take with you on walks, hikes, and could even make a fantastic running partner. Yes, Brooklyn can be a super fun, active, adventurous girly but she also has a calm side as well. She seems to already have some level of understanding that play time is an outside luxury. Of course, she will play indoors with a toy or tennis ball if you want her to but she is really good about finding a spot on the couch with her favorite toy and is perfectly content doing her own thing. Brooklyn's dream home would have a big backyard where she can stretch those legs, smell all the smells, and a place where she can find that perfect spot in the grass to bake in the sun. She would do best with a semi-active family that wants to take their dog with them on hikes, maybe even looking for a running partner, and also wanting a snuggly companion after a full day of adventures. She can certainly do both after she's had some form of mental stimulation. We are willing to test Brooklyn Cherry with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Sweet Pixie came to us carrying a precious surprise — nine beautiful puppies. 🐶💕 And what an amazing mama she was! She raised every one of her babies with love and devotion. Now it’s finally her turn to be the baby. This 36 lb compact little 2 year old girl is on her way to getting her figure back and is looking better every day. She walks beautifully on a leash, making her the perfect walking buddy. Most of all, she truly loves everyone she meets. Sweet, gentle, and ready for attention, she’s soaking up all the affection she can get. After giving so much love, she’s more than ready to receive it. 💗 Pixie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This strikingly handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Boone is a 2 year old mixed breed who is looking for a loving and accommodating home. We believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with some sort of bully breed, but we do not know for sure. Boone is very social and affectionate. He loves people and just wants to be the center of someone’s world. Boone thrives in a single dog home and does great with older kids. Boone does not care to bark much. He is house trained. Weighs about 55 pounds. Boone would be perfect for someone who is retired, works from home, or who could take him to work with them. Boone loves to go places and be included. He struggles with being crated and left alone, but has started to make progress with being left for very short amounts of time outside of a crate. Boones likes are car rides, tough chew bones, cuddles, The Lion King and being wrapped up in a blanket. He likes walks but needs a little practice and might try to chase a squirrel if he sees one. Boone is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. In New England.  To apply-https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
