Story
Hi! , I’m Rudy , dog 2 of the inseparable duo full of love and laughter. We're young, smart, and have tons of energy to play and explore. We might be a bit shy at first, but give us a moment, and we'll be your cuddly companions. We love being goofy and making our friends laugh with our funny antics. We're also very gentle and friendly, perfect pals for any family. We're looking for a forever home where we can share all our love. Adopt us for endless fun and friendship! Sadly, Lil Man and Rudy were abandoned in a small rural county in Mississippi. The mother and her three puos were homeless and were living in the woods when a local police officer contacted the rescue for help . The police brought the two males, Lil Man and Rudy, and their sister, Scarlet to The rescue. Scarlet went to a rescue in Maine leaving Lil Man and Rudy behind waiting . These 2 boys are so bonded that we wish they could go together. They absolutely adore each other. they were raised inside before becoming homeless so they are house trained . We are looking for the perfect home for these two boys. They are the sweetest, most lovable dogs that anyone could ever want. They just need a loving home and a pet owner that is willing to love them . . This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee.  We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Penny is a gorgeous Rhodesian ridgeback mix that weighs approximately 50 lbs and is the sweetest girl! She is approximately 1 year and 3 months old and was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. This awesome girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this baby until their forever home is found. They are the ones who originally found her and got her to safety, before reaching out to us to help in placing their animals in the homes they deserve. She can be a little shy right at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and become your loyal, best friend. Penny is very active and loves to romp around the yard and play with the other doggies. The happiest she is, is when she is with other dogs and they have toys to play tug-o-war with. We strongly recommend another dog or dogs in the home, or consistent doggy friends/doggy parks/doggy day-care that she can go to. Where Penny currently is, has pigs and she enjoys playing with them too! While she does love to play, she is very gentle when she does. She is not overly rough. She is a bit of an escape artist as she just enjoys being out and about. Penny is MOSTLY house trained, just needs consistency to master is 100% Penny loves car rides and walks okay on a leash, will need a bit more work on the leash to become perfect. She has great recall once she is familiar with the area. We learned she is an escape artist as she climbed a 4-foot fence and got out. But all she did was explore a little bit and then go to the front door of the home and wait to be let in. She is such a good girl! An ideal home for Penny would be one that is: Active, wants a dog that loves to go on adventures Wants a best friend, a dog that will be your shadow Has another active dog to play with and tire each other out The fosters favourite thing about Penny: That even after she was dumped and left to starve to death in the middle of nowhere, she still trusts people and is the sweetest, most loving baby. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY – Only one transport company goes here, once a month Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA – THESE STOPS ARE ON HOLD AS OF 7/1 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.  ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet Sweet 5m old tripod Pearl from Puerto Rico.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org. Story
Meet sweet, gentle, loving girl Harlow. She's an easy girl to have around and provides great company whether it be going for a walk, sunbathing in the yard, or playing with her favorite toys. She's so very gentle, loves human attention and engages well in her surroundings. She enjoys being doted on, receiving belly rubs and being the center of attention. She has that endearing hound hoot bark when she feels the need to alert you of something nearby. She enjoys being pet and really enjoys being brushed while laying down soaking up the warmth of the sun. She is playful with her toys - tossing them in the air, chasing after them, and enjoys the benefits of a good chew toy. This girl would be great in a home that is gentle yet active to keep her physically and mentally stimulated. A fenced in yard is a definite plus because she very much enjoys the freedom of lounging in the yard. She walks well on leash and is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccinations. She weighs approximately 85 lbs and estimated to have been born around 9/1/22. Please note, if you're not ready to adopt but would consider fostering Harlow, we would love to share with your what that means and how much of a positive difference you'd be making in a life of a dog that needs you.
