Meet Bodie! This two-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix is 53 pounds of timid tenderness that is eager to say so long to kennel life and start new with a family that loves him! Bodie is quick to capture the hearts of everyone he meets. He's a true submissive sweetheart and his gentle curiosity is impossible not to love. Rolling over for belly rubs is his go to move! Bodie takes his treats gently and seems to enjoy plushy toys as well. As he is still a young man, Bodie will benefit from daily exercise and continued training to help build his confidence. A yard for him to enjoy would be perfect for him. We just can't wait to see Bodie's playful side come out. The family that adopts him will truly be as lucky as they come! Based on our evaluation, we feel Bodie would best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. This beautiful girl is Zulu Zulu is a bundle of wonderfulness who was born around 2/6/24. She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who packs a lot of goodness into a single package and she’s desperately searching for a forever home, full of playfulness, snuggles, and loads of love. * She is super friendly * She is heartworm negative * She is UTD on his vaccines and preventatives * S\he simply can’t wait to meet YOU!! Are you looking for a loyal companion to love and play with? Zulu is your gal! All she asks for is a stable home with a loving family. She merely needs someone to open their home to her so she can steal their heart. Could you be that someone? Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
