We adopted Jolene in May 2023 as our first family dog. She was born Feb 14, 2023. Our little Valentine! We have loved having her in our family. She is great with people and other dogs, though she can be intimidating and territorial with smaller children. She was spayed in March 2024 and is current with all of her healthcare. The reason for rehoming is our relocation to Florida this summer. We will be in a small apartment without the space nor the schedule to give her the attention and exercise that a Rhodesian Ridgeback needs. She will do best in a home without small children and with experience with Rhodesians or big dogs. True to her breed she is energetic and strong-willed and wants to be a part of a pack. She loves to run and chase and to lie in hot sunny spots. She loves to chew bones and snuggle with stuffed animals. The decision to rehome has been gut-wrenching and we will all miss her terribly. We hope you love our "JoJo" as much as we do!

Gwen is a young energetic hound mix that loves to play and needs a lot of exercise. She knows basic commands such as sit and stay and knows the meaning of the word no. She is a medium sized brown dog with white patches on her nose, belly and paws. She has six toes on her back right paw making her extra special. She is good with cats and children, but maybe not small children due to her young energetic nature. She loves kisses, cuddles and belly rubs. She does well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. I adopted Tanner from the Wake County animal shelter when he was 2 years old. He just turned 8 years old this year but you wouldn't know it. He still gets the zoomies and sprints around the yard at full speed until he tires and loves playing tug of war with a rope. When I take him to the dog park people ask me how old he is thinking he's a puppy and are startled when I tell them he's a senior. He gets along great with other dogs, loves kids and people, and never barks inside the house (he does bark outside though). Tanner is a very low maintenance pup. I've never had to put him in a crate, He doesn't chew up furniture or belongings and can hold his pee all day until I get back from work. He's handsome, he's always been healthy, his coat is soft and he does't smell bad like some other dogs. Unfortunately my girlfriend is severely allergic to dogs and we can't live together until Tanner finds a new home, otherwise I would spend many more years with this happy pup.
