He isn’t destructive when left alone and carries himself like a seasoned gentleman who already knows the rules. Bernie does, however, suffer from "FOMO", Fear of Missing Out. Despite being partially blind, Bernie doesn't want to be left in the background! If there's fun, he wants to be involved. If there's drama, he wants to be involved. He'd gladly join the neighborhood watch, attend cookouts, own a police scanner, and commit to a Days of Our Lives marathon. As for being partially blind? Bernie struggles with dry eyes that will need continued care, including lubricants and cleansing. But don't stress! GIHS medical staff will walk you through the ins and outs of Bernie's eye care and overall health.

She is a little shy first but then warms up quickly, she is house and crate trained but will need more positive reinforcement. She does get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. She has a clean bill of health. The adoption fee is $245 and she comes with all her vet records. She is a GORGEOUS Border Collie/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix or Tri-Colored Rhodesian Ridgeback. Her personality is true to her breed! Xena's foster mom and dad have 3 other dogs that she likes to play with and share toys with, but she has also learned to be by herself. Her foster mom says she needs an active family with another dog or multiple dogs. Xena needs room to run to get her energy out. She likes going for long walks and exploring the wilderness. Xena sleeps with her foster mom and dad in bed with all the other dogs. It gets a bit crowded but she does love sleeping with the pack. This makes her feel safe. Xena does not like to be in a kennel or crate. So, a family that is at home would be ideal.She likes eating ice cubes! Xena says 'When mom gives me fresh water in a bowl she puts in extra ice cubes for me. That makes me feel special and loved.' Xena loves riding in a vehicle and knows not to jump around and act like a baby.She can walk on a leash pretty well as long as she has her harness on; Xena is not a fan of collars. She also knows a few commands like “stay”, “no” and “potty”.Xena will bark at strangers until she gets to know them. Her foster dad has taught her to fetch.
