Hiya! I’m Dale! Are you looking for an adventurer? I’d love to be your right hand gal! I am around 2 years old. I have excellent manners, I’m house broken, I keep my kennel tidy, I know how to sit and lay down, I’m great on a leash too! I can be mellow and I can be very playful. I’d do good with dogs of that temperament! I'm a little intimidated by little dogs, so maybe none of those... I absolutely love people, I get excitable when I first see you but then I settle down quite nicely. I’m so eager to learn and understand whatever it is my human needs me to do! I’m a love bug all the way around. My dream home is an active one! Hiking, swimming, nature walks.. you name it! Can’t wait to meet the purfect family for me! Dale is about 2 years old. She is spayed, updated on all vaccines. She is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.

Welcome JJ to CCPAL Rescue. He is a German Shepherd/Ridgeback is our best guess. He weighs about 65 pounds. This boy has a very cute widow’s peak on his forehead. He is about 1 year and 3 months old. He was with us as a puppy and now he is back looking for his forever home. He is shy of new people and would be best suited for someone who is a home body or ok with JJ staying home and chilling at home. He is great in his crate and will go in it without anyone asking. He is protective of his crate when he is in it as well. He is great with all the dogs that are big small with all kinds of temperaments. He also lives successfully with Sam the cat. He is not a big shedding dog and he will need someone who is ok with a protective dog. If people come over he would then go to his crate or to another room. He is a wonderful companion and will make a great dog for the right person. He is in Texas and we would like him to be adopted to someone from Texas. If you live alone and want a do to make you feel safe then this is your boy. JJ is current on all his vaccinations, neutered and ready for his forever home. His adoption fee is 250. Harley is a Catahoula mix, approximately 2 years old. She was a friend’s dog, but has been living with a lot of different folks due to previous owner’s instability. I have been taking care of her since the owner surrendered her to Kerr County, however my roommate has insisted that I cannot keep her. She is a really sweet girl and very loving. She likes to cuddle and likes to have a lot of attention from her people. She gets along with other dogs, but does have some resource guarding issues, so she doesn’t share food or attention very well. Would recommend being the only dog in the house, as she requires attention and more training- reactive barking, listening to commands, and recall need to be worked on. Would also recommend a yard, as she has a lot of energy and likes to run around and play. She does have a heart murmur. This doesn’t require anything medically at the time, but a vet should be called if she becomes unusually lethargic or starts to cough a lot regularly.

Eddy came to us after suffering an abusive home. He winced when anyone moved near his head, so we knew he had been hit before. He was timid, but after a few days, we were able to approach him and see his tail wag. The home he was in allowed their other dogs to attack him, so he was extremely frightened of other dogs. He stayed at our animal control for many weeks, and we decided to tag him for Kerrville Pets Alive. We knew he was a great dog, he just needed a chance! We have Eddy in a training center now, and boy has he blossomed!! He plays with all the other dogs and is presently being trained to be with cats. He is happy and confident now, and is learning commands such as sit, stay and place. We think he would do very well now in a loving home, that will continue to build his confidence and expand his training. He learns quickly and aims to please. He loves nothing more than to be hugged and shown affection. Please consider Eddy as a companion... he is an awesome dog!
