Bonnie- she is my independent foster. The shelter she was at was going to full term spay abort and I didn't want her babies to die. 3 days after I brought her home she had 9 babies. She was an excellent mother and all babies have been adopted to lovely families. It is now her time to find her awesome home. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, HW Negative, and HW/flea preventatives UTD. She is super dog friendly also lives and is gentle with little dogs, cat and kid friendly, 100% housebroken and crated trained. Story
I adopted Bella a little over 5 years ago through a coworker (C). She had been left with C by 2 men under the guise of short-term care. After being at C’s house, it became clear Bella had been abused. The two men never came back for her, and when C could no longer care for her, I adopted her. Since then Bella’s become a well-adjusted, happy dog who is creeping into senior status. Bella has some separation anxiety, is initially nervous around men, dislikes thunder and other loud noises, and doesn’t like being left alone for long periods. She LOVES visiting my in-law’s ranch, walks, and snuggles, and is most content simply sharing space with her pack. She’s great with dogs and kids, but unfortunately, we have not been able to care for her adequately due to financial struggles (I’m 8 mos pregnant with 2 other young kids). The best home for her would be somewhere with room to run, a cozy corner for her to claim, and lots of love and consistency. We have more to tell if you’re interested!

Story
Magpies are birds who are widely considered to be intelligent creatures.Magpies are one of the few non-mammalian species able to recognize itselfin a mirror test!Introducing OUR Magpie! Is she similar to her feathered namesake? She has the intellect part, handsdown. This girl has seen a lot, and she knows a lot! (she`s yet to bemirror tested).Besides being a smart girl, Magpie is a gentle soul. She`s been around theblock a few times, and understands what life is about. She may have had itrough, but those trying times have only made her kinder.Magpie is fine on a leash. Like most dogs, kennel living isn`t a favorite,so any time outside is a treat for her! She warms up to humans cautiously, but it doesn`t take her long to wag her tail. Other dogs? Of course! Thegentle/dainty kind are her style, and she`d fit perfectly with dogs whopreferred a more relaxed atmosphere.Magpie would fit in perfectly just about anywhere, and she`d like to fitinto your life today! Her biggest wish is to find a home of her own!

Story
Meet Amethyst! Amethyst is one of the sweetest cuddle bugs we’ve ever met! Amethyst previously spent time at Austin Animal Center in a foster home and has a HUGE volunteer fan club at AAC! A little about our favorite girl: •She can be a little shy at first with initial stranger danger but once she knows you, she demands belly rubs and cuddles •She needs someone who can lead her to confidence and do proper introductions - this may include introducing her to visitors outside of the house •Once she is comfortable to be herself, she loves to play or just hangout with her people on the couch! She lets you decide and is just happy to be your companion •She has been enrolled in Confidence Building Classes and her friends can talk you through what she has learned to maintain consistency! •She is a perfect apartment size at around 50 lbs! •Needs to be in an ONLY pet home (and no cats), although she doesn’t seem to mind dogs •Would do best with children over 12 and in a generally low traffic home •She is house-trained, leash-trained and LOVES water!April 24, 2024, 2:28 pm
