Story
Santini is currently involved in an undercover, top secret rescue operation. For security reasons, his identity is classified, so we can’t show you his photo online.BLUF: he's a healthy, young, 85-pound Lab mix who came to us from the West Coast after getting out of a bad situation. A network of very good people got him safely from Point A to Point Much Better.Everything was completely legal, legitimate, and aboveboard. Nobody rappelled from a helicopter. There were no forged passports. We’re just being extra careful about protecting Santini’s identity and location, so for now, his handsome face cannot appear on social media.Which is unfortunate, because he's VERY handsome. What we can tell you is that Santini was a beloved family dog, and it shows. He has excellent house manners, loves to play, loves to snuggle, and loves other dogs. He's basically 85 pounds of “What are we doing today, and may I sit directly on you while we discuss it?”And potential adopters don't need to worry - his unusual arrival does NOT come with unusual problems. He’s a wonderful, social, affectionate dog who simply needed to land somewhere safe.So Santini’s adoption campaign is going old-school.You have to come meet the mystery man in person.Stop by Animal Aid and ask to see Santini. We’ll take you behind the curtain, introduce you to our classified canine asset, and let him do the rest.Visiting hours are 9am to noon daily, including weekends & holidays. AAS is located at 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Introducing Angie! Angie is a little survivor with a big personality and  great head start by her foster in PR. Angie was the only puppy able to be rescued from a litter of 8. No one knows what happened to her seven siblings. She and her incredibly friendly mom were living in a busy parking lot near a restaurant, surrounded by cars and all the dangers that come with life on the streets of PR. Thankfully, the community is helping to get Mom spayed, and Angie now has a chance at something completely different: a safe home and a family of her own. Angie is about 3 months old and 15 pounds, and she is already showing everyone what a confident, happy girl she is. She behaved beautifully at the vet and happily greeted everyone who walked through the door. She’s playful, full of puppy energy, and working hard on her leash skills. This little girl is ready for a backyard, a soft bed, toys, and a family who will love watching her grow. 3 months old 16 pounds Confident and friendly Playful puppy energy Working on leash skills Great at the vet Adoption fee: $395, including her spay Angie is a gorgeous chestnut colored Sato, friendly and well adjusted.  She would be great with whatever family is lucky enough to adopt her, cats, dogs, kids, Angie is ready to learn about it all.
