Story
Meet Ryder, a vibrant 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 51 pounds, ready to bring boundless joy and energy into your home! Eager to embrace every moment, I'm a spirited pup who finds delight in the simple pleasures of life. Quick-witted and responsive, I've already mastered sitting and revel in a good game of fetch. Leash walks are second nature to me, and I've aced the art of being housebroken. The convenience of a doggie door has added a new level of fun to my daily routine—I dash in and out, relishing the freedom of leaving my shelter days behind. While I can spend up to 6 hours in my crate, my heart yearns to be by your side, sharing love and companionship. I'm a social butterfly and get along famously with other dogs, especially my foster brother, who has become my cherished best pal. However, I must confess that feline friends are not my cup of tea, so a cat-free home would be my ideal haven. For an active family with older kids, I would be the perfect addition. I thrive on playtime and roughhousing, though a gentle reminder about my size and strength during moments of excitement would be appreciated. My tail? Well, it's practically an airplane propeller! Treat-wise, I have a soft spot for nylon stick BarkBones and a KONG filled with peanut butter. Ready to embark on a journey of love, laughter, and endless adventures? I'm Ryder, and I can't wait to bring my zest for life into your home! To see more pictures and videos of Ryder, copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Ryder by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-206 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). We only adopt in the USA. We are open to adopting in other states, except in Massachusetts. There are quarantine laws for MA and until these laws change, we are not able to adopt into MA.

Story
Presenting the "Game of Bones Puppies" litter! Picture a pack of adorable pups, each with the heart of a direwolf and the loyalty of a sworn sword. From the mighty "Hound" who guards the food bowl with unwavering dedication to the graceful "Lady Stark" who commands attention with every elegant stride, these pups will steal your heart faster than you can say "Valar Morghulis." With tails wagging like banners on the battlefield, they'll embark on epic quests for treats and belly rubs, ensuring that the realm of your home is forever blessed with joy and wagging tails. Winter may be coming, but with these fluffy guardians by your side, you'll always be snug and safe in their furry embrace. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, East coast, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2059366##

Story
Nashville and Knoxville need a new home as we are relocating and unable to bring them with us. These boys just turned one and are full of adventure and energy. We have 4 kids (ages 1-9) and they have been incredible with them. They are purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback and were selected from a breeder here in state. Both are neutered, up to date on shots, house trained and crate trained. True to their breed, they are rambunctious juveniles, but settle down and sleep through most of the day. We have lots of kids come through our home and have had no issues with aggression, outside of occassional barking Nashville recently had entropian surgery on his eyes and has since completely healed. These pups are a joy and it is heartbreaking to let them go. Hoping an experienced owner with space for them will love them like we have.

Story
Meet Dublin and Tucker! Sweet Dublin  is a Shepherd/Rhodesian mix and is just coming up to 4 years old. He is a great dog who is so deserving of a loving home. He is best friends with Tucker, a mixed breed boy who is around 8 years old.  Sadly they lost their first home due to their owners moving, and now they are losing their second home for the same reason. They are good boys and would love to find a new home together. They are generally well behaved in the home and are crate trained. They are affectionate and friendly, though Dublin can at times be a little anxious. A home with a yard will be best for them. They have not lived with cats before.  They are vaccinated, chipped and neutered.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Handsome Fred: Your New Best Friend! Fred is an approximately 1-year-old possible Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart as big as his smile. With rescue pups, it's always a bit of a guess on the breed, but one thing we know for sure is that Fred is 100% charming! Fred is not just a pretty face! He’s a social butterfly who thrives in playgroups, showing off his confident, friendly demeanour and excellent manners. He's excited to make new dog friends of all sizes and does wonderfully with them. However, no cats for Fred—he's a bit too interested in them. Ideal Home: Fred would do best in a home with a yard and another doggy friend or kids to run and play with. He has balanced energy and is keen to cuddle but would also thrive in an active home. He would do great with a moderately playful dog who can match his energy.Freds sweet nature and treat motivation make him a joy to train. Fred is looking for his new best friend and would make a great addition to a home with an active lifestyle. He loves car rides and would love to participate in your daily activities and adventures. He’s silly and has a very expressive face, always making his foster mom laugh. She says, “He’s the best dog ever, and whoever adopts him is really lucking out with this one.” He’s so handsome he’ll be famous in your town! She can’t walk him anywhere without people stopping her to tell her how show-stopping he is! Fred is a quick learner—he’s already potty trained and is making great progress with his leash skills. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
