He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He is a HUGE fan of kids and was so happy to be running around with them - a home with kids would be great for him. Mr. Banks is a 2 year old Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, around 50lbs. He is a very sweet boy who is house trained and crate trained. He gets along great with other dogs and loves being active with his family. He does need a secure yard or watched outside as he loves to jump and play and if he has no one with him.... well he may try to find someone to play with. He is very smart and walks lovely on leash too.
