Zak came back to Resilient Hearts due to a change of circumstances for his owner. We adore this beautiful boy who needs an adopter to help him trust the world a little more. According to our current foster, Zak is an excellent boy in the house. He’s the most loving and cuddly dog she has ever met, is willing to chill and sleep while the humans work. He is crate trained, and has never had a potty incident inside the house. He has the best personality of any dog they've ever fostered. Zak really wants to please his humans. He loves to work on training and learn new tricks - he’s really smart and receptive! Basically he’s an awesome dog. His absolute favorite thing to do is go on walks and sniff all the smells. Zak missed out on some early training. On the leash Zak has been reactive to bigger dogs (not aggression-based, purely excitement) and needs to be approached slowly by strangers. (this one is fear-based). We have been working on both of these and he's doing great. Zak would probably thrive in a more rural suburban environment where encounters with others dogs is less frequent than crowded, urban neighborhoods. He is fine going to homes with other dogs if the chemistry is right. If you would like to meet this beautiful dog, please send us an email to meet this beautiful boy. And please be patient. Indigo is a healthy 2.5 year old Black Mouth Cur.  She is a medium build, muscular 55 lbs gal. She is an incredibly loving and playful dog. She loves her people and wants to please them. She is very strong and will need someone consitent and dedicated to her continuing canine education.     This breed is not for a first time dog owner. She is very food motivated which is great for training.  She is a great hiker but also being a hunting breed, always on alert. She needs to live in a house (sorry no apt or condo's) with a fenced in yard at least 5 ft tall.  When hanging with her people she loves to cuddle and is very chill.  Indie is good with dogs, people and children, no small mammals including cats (too strong of prey drive). She is an amazing family dog, fully house trained and up to date on all vacs.   Email hairgodesss@gmail.com for an application. May 29, 2023, 3:33 pm

Abby was found along with her sister abandoned in an apartment complex in SW Houston. She is 10-11 months old and will weigh around 60lbs when full grown. She is a little shy first but then warms up quickly, she is house and crate trained but will need more positive reinforcement. She does get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. She has a clean bill of health. The adoption fee includes her transport to your area and she is being fostered in Houston TX. Nemo is a sweet and mischievous 4 month old, 6 pound pup full of energy and love to give. Friendly with dogs and cats, and sweet with adults and children, although he is a bit shy at first, he usually adapts to his environment quite quickly. He is curious and likes to meet new dogs, he has no problem with them being small or large despite his small size. He loves receiving pampering, lots of love, hugs and kisses, playing with balls even if they are bigger than him, and sleeping in a big, warm bed. Potty trained (Sometimes he still has accidents). He will be small. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick check up to date. Microchipped.
