Story
Oh my good golly gracious how I loved getting to know Nelson!!!! Nelson is that dog—the one who steals your heart before you even sit down. During our visit, his favorite place to be was cozied up on the couch, curled against us in a tangle of kisses and tail wags. He’s a tall drink of water with the soul of a teddy bear, and he knows exactly how to win you over with his affectionate nature and striking good looks. We believe Nelson is a hound mix and is about 2 years old and 46 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed, but he makes up for the uncertainty of his genetics with his looks and charm. Check out this stud muffin below! https://youtu.be/FLOR-YY53Os Nelson currently does not live with any kiddos, but his foster told us that this gentle guy has been around newborns and little ones and was nothing but calm and kind. If you have a specific age group of kids Nelson would be around, let us know and we would be happy to see how he interacts with them! We want to make sure he is perfect for you! Based on what his foster said and his affection towards me during his visit, we believe he’d make a wonderful family dog for a home with respectful young children who can handle the occasional enthusiastic smooch, or older kids who’d love to toss a ball around the yard with him. Nelson is quite the curious fellow, especially when it comes to cats. He’s a little too intrigued for their liking, so a cat-free home will be the best match for him. As for canine companions, he lives with multiple foster doggy siblings! He would do great with a low to medium energy friend! He definitely is down to play but is equally okay being a devoted solo companion to his human friends! A natural glider with a love for movement, Nelson really shines when he has space to roam and run. I LOVED watching him effortlessly dart down from one edge of the yard to the other. Because of that, he’d do best in a home with a yard rather than an apartment. His athleticism mixed with his affectionate heart makes him the perfect companion for someone who loves to snuggle after a good romp outdoors. Are you looking for a friend to travel with? Nelson does great in the car! His foster had nothing but good things to say about his car riding skills! So get that hiking trip planned now! Nelson is ready! Out of all the dogs I’ve met, Nelson left a lasting impression! I will forever love that boy. He’s loyal, tender, and full of goofy charm. If you're looking for a best friend to fill your home with fun, this distinguished gentleman might just be your guy. Has Nelson claimed your heart? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female. He's been waiting a long time for his own home, and we're hoping 2025 is his year! Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. He weighs about 55-60 lbs. Please email for an application.

Meet Titi – Your New Best Friend! Titi is one of the friendliest young pups you’ll ever meet! This easygoing boy has a laid-back personality and would fit in perfectly with just about any family. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure, Titi is ready to be by your side. He’s a dream in the car—making him the perfect co-pilot for road trips or quick errands. Titi is crate-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs, especially those his size or smaller. If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable companion who’s always happy to make new friends, Titi is the one for you! All of our adoptables are in Houston until adopted.  You can see this post because one of our foster homes are 250 mile radius from your home.  Unfortunately meet & greets are not possible as they all arrive already adopted.   Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. Story
Randy is currently in a foster home in Delta, BC. Background: In December 2022, during the bitter cold of winter, Randy was rescued from a dog meat farm in Ganghwa, Korea, along with 50 other lucky dogs. At first, he lived in a shelter with other rescues, but the crowded environment was overwhelming for him. To help Randy feel more at ease, the shelter manager welcomed him into his home, where he quickly became happier and more relaxed. Now, he’s in a foster home in Delta, BC, where he lives with another dog. Personality and Socialization: Randy has a calm, medium-to-low energy level. He loves cuddling with people but never demands attention—he’s content simply being near you, whether resting quietly by your side or snuggled up for warmth. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those who are gentle and friendly. Thoughtful and respectful, he understands boundaries—if another dog needs space, he’ll patiently sit beside them without intruding. Randy has not been tested with cats or young children. Behaviours: Laid-back and quiet indoors, Randy is a relaxed and easygoing companion. He’s well-mannered in the car, at the vet, and even during baths—while he may feel a little nervous in new situations, he trusts his humans to guide him. He walks well on a leash and enjoys peaceful strolls. He is also fully house-trained. His gentle, affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around, and he thrives in a calm environment where he feels safe and loved. Health and Diet: Randy is in excellent health. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, with negative parasite tests, including heartworms. He takes monthly parasite prevention and eats dry kibble twice a day with no known allergies. Ideal Home: Randy’s mellow and friendly nature makes him a great fit for many types of homes. Whether he’s the only dog, part of a family with another canine companion, or living with someone new to dog ownership, he will adjust with ease. He’d make a wonderful walking partner and is just as happy relaxing at home, enjoying quiet moments with his family. Randy has spent two years waiting for a home of his own. While he has been loved and well cared for, nothing compares to the warmth of a real home. Having endured heartbreaking conditions in the dog meat trade, he deserves the chance to be a cherished family member. Randy is ready for a life filled with love, comfort, and companionship. Give him a second chance, and he will repay you with endless love and loyalty. He truly deserves to experience the joy of family life—a life full of cuddles, peaceful walks, and the happiness of belonging.
