Meet Duncan — the Sweetest Gentleman AroundIf you’re looking for a kind, gentle soul to add warmth to your home, Duncan might just be your perfect match. This sweet boy LOVES cuddles and will happily flop at your feet for pets and affection. He’s a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be part of the family — wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be.Duncan has a moderate activity level and enjoys leisurely walks, smiling the whole way through. He does have a bit of arthritis, so most of his day is spent snoozing peacefully on his dog bed. A calm, quieter home where he can relax would be ideal for him. He’s very well behaved, soft-furred, and incredibly endearing. Duncan makes a variety of cute little “talking” noises (he rarely barks!) and will gently place a paw on you when he’s asking for love. He’s great with other dogs and enjoys their company, though he prefers to keep his treats to himself. This sweet gentleman’s needs are simple: food, love, walks, playtime, and a cozy spot to nap. Give him those, and he’ll give you loyalty and friendship in return. Duncan looks at you with kind eyes that say he just wants to be good, be loved, and be your friend. If you’re ready for a gentle, affectionate companion to brighten your days, Duncan is waiting to meet you.

Story
Kate is the total package, sweet, smart, and ready for her next big adventure! This young, energetic girl is equal parts playful companion and devoted snuggle buddy. Found as a stray, Kate quickly made friends with her finder and has continued to win hearts with her gentle nature, eagerness to please, and adorable personality. Now thriving in foster, Kate is housetrained, learning crate and working on lots of other fun tricks! She already knows “sit.” She’s working on “stay,” “place,” “down,” “wait,” and “shake,” and responds beautifully to kind guidance and consistency. She’s incredibly smart and loves learning, especially when treats or toys are involved.Kate lives with another dog and is clearly a social butterfly with other pups. She follows her foster sibling everywhere, learning from him and seeking out his company for play, exploration, and naps. In the shelter, she was friendly with several kennelmates and enjoyed playgroups with other dogs. She loves being outside, splashing in a kiddie pool, going on walks, or just sniffing around the yard. But don’t let her energy fool you—she’s also a top-tier napper who wants nothing more than to sleep near (or touching) her person. She’s a velcro dog who checks in often and thrives on affection. Her sweet, expressive eyes say it all: “I love you—please love me back.”Kate is blossoming in her foster home, gaining confidence, overcoming fears, and showing how much trust she’s willing to give when treated kindly. Her ideal home is active but calm, with a patient adopter who will continue her training and celebrate her progress. A confident dog sibling would be a huge plus. Whether you’re headed out for an adventure or settling in for a Netflix marathon, Kate will be right there with you—sweet eyes, wagging tail, and all.

Story
Sweet senior alert, sweet senior alert! If you’ve got a soft spot in your heart and your home for a deserving senior pup, look no further than frosty-faced Gizmo! He’s a pup with SO MANY great qualities! He’s a darling old man who loves people, walks, toys and affection! Gizmo came to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He received treatment from our medical team to take care of some old man lumps and bumps and is on the mend and feeling much better now. He’s looking forward to finding himself a comfy retirement home where he can be the apple of his new family’s eye! Gizmo’s former family said that he loves toys, knows tricks, and is playful but can also be a couch potato. He loves to be by his person’s side, but he can also be independent when need be. He got along well with young children and small dogs in the home. Here’s what one friend at the shelter said:“Gizmo is a super sweet boy. He was easy to leash to exit the kennel with and he LOVED his walk around the lake. He enjoyed watching and listening to the other dogs in the park. He is a social sweetie who would much rather be out with his volunteer friends than cooped up in a kennel!”Gizmo has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re a sucker for an adorable white muzzle with eyebrows to match, Gizmo would love to meet you!
