Story
Meet Roscoe- he’s around 4 yrs old. He’s an indoor dog. He’s house broken and doesn’t chew on anything other than his toys. He sleeps through the night. He’s playful, cuddly, and always looking for scratches and rubs. Roscoe believes he’s a lap dog, so don’t be surprised if he wants to join you whenever you’re sitting or laying. He always wants to be around you. He plays well with my 9 yr old niece and Shih Tzu. He doesn’t have any health concerns. He is neutered. He does alert us of delivery drivers or anyone coming close to the house. However, he’s all bark… he’d probably just lick an intruder and show them where the valuables are. Also, if you leave food on the counter… he will help himself. He walks “ok” on a leash… could do better if you work with him. Roscoe would do well in a large home with room to move. He’d do well in a home with kids or for a single owner. Ideally, he’d like to be your main squeeze. But he’d do ok in a house with a non aggressive dog.

Story
Cody is a handsome young dog with some of the best eyebrows in the game! Microblading, schmicroblading- his brows are all natural!! Here’s what some of Cody’s volunteer pals have said about him:“Cody would do great in a home that can offer him mental stimulation and a job to do--he is so smart and seems to enjoy having a task to complete. He loves sniffing and exploring anything in sight. I took him to the concrete blocks in the parking lot and he had fantastic responsiveness when I would pat a block and say `up!` He would follow my hand and give me his full attention when he jumped up, quickly sitting and basking in praise. When he would complete this task, he seemed really happy to get praise and affection, leaning into me and turning his shoulders to the side to get extra pets. We did this routine several times, and he had great focus. He’s an energetic young guy with an active mind. Great dog!”“Cody was easy to leash and enjoyed sniffing around the play yard. Gentle demeanor and would eagerly come over when I called him and offered a treat.”During a brief adoption Cody was housebroken and crate trained. His people said that he walks well on leash, likes to go hiking, and is an affectionate couch potato who loves toys and being close to his people. He can be wary of strangers so needs a family who respects his boundaries and will introduce new folks slowly. Cody shares his kennel at the shelter and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Story
“It’s not about how much we’ve lost, it’s about how much we have left.”- Tony StarkIron Man may have lost his home and ended up at the shelter, but the most important thing is that he has a huge amount of love left to share with a family of his own! Unfortunately, Iron Man was kept as an outdoor pet in his former home, so one main requirement for his future home is that he’s welcomed indoors to be part of the family. This gentle, sensitive boy deserves to find a family who will dote on him. He also has positive history with kiddos! Iron Man is a tad shy, but loves affection and is very friendly. He shares his kennel with a dog from his former home and has been appropriate, tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Iron Man today!

Story
Zeus is a handsome, friendly senior gentleman who came to the shelter after he and his friend Zia were abandoned. Zeus is the more confident of the two, and Zia takes comfort from her friend. Here’s what one volunteer said:“These sweet seniors are a little bit shy but definitely warm up with kind and gentle interaction. Both are mellow, quiet, easy-going and well-behaved and are easy to leash up and walk. Zeus does not act his age and is playful, friendly, and a major show off! He is so proud of knowing how to sit and give paw, especially when treats are involved. He’s also a bit of a goof ball. Zia is a little nervous but tolerant- a gentle, tender-hearted gal who appreciates kindness. Slow and easy works for her and she will come to you for affection when she feels safe. Zeus is the confident one and Zia looks to him for guidance.”In addition to getting along well with Zia, Zeus has been tolerant, easygoing, and a bit playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. The shelter is truly no place for a senior dog, and Zeus really deserves a loving home with a family who would never leave him behind. Please ask to meet him today!!
