Story
People who know Toby well say he's a big baby. His kennel is chock-full of stuffy toys, and he'll hold a few in his mouth at a time when he's feeling goofy! And, as a big baby, Toby is sensitive and nervous around new people. But he has made huge strides during his time with us, and would be so appreciative of anybody who decides to give him a second chance!

Meet Duncan — the Sweetest Gentleman AroundIf you’re looking for a kind, gentle soul to add warmth to your home, Duncan might just be your perfect match. This sweet boy LOVES cuddles and will happily flop at your feet for pets and affection. He’s a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be part of the family — wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be.Duncan has a moderate activity level and enjoys leisurely walks, smiling the whole way through. He does have a bit of arthritis, so most of his day is spent snoozing peacefully on his dog bed. A calm, quieter home where he can relax would be ideal for him. He’s very well behaved, soft-furred, and incredibly endearing. Duncan makes a variety of cute little “talking” noises (he rarely barks!) and will gently place a paw on you when he’s asking for love. He’s great with other dogs and enjoys their company, though he prefers to keep his treats to himself. This sweet gentleman’s needs are simple: food, love, walks, playtime, and a cozy spot to nap. Give him those, and he’ll give you loyalty and friendship in return. Duncan looks at you with kind eyes that say he just wants to be good, be loved, and be your friend. If you’re ready for a gentle, affectionate companion to brighten your days, Duncan is waiting to meet you.

Story
What’s your favorite self-care routine or ritual? Do you start your day with yoga and meditation? Make sure to get 30 grams of protein at every meal? Get your nails done every two weeks? If you believe that everyone should have a little self-care, we’d love to introduce you to a lovely lady who definitely agrees- meet Carly! She loves a little TLC, as her volunteer friends have learned!“I opened up Carly’s beauty parlor in the play yard today. After greeting me with a friendly body and sweet smile, Carly sat down next to me for a little grooming session. I had a soft brush and spent about 10 minutes massaging and brushing her coat. She absolutely LOVED it and was as relaxed as can be! While she didn’t have any cash on her, she paid me with some very lady-like kisses. She is a gentle darling pup!”“Carly is a really nice girl who is easy to handle. We went for a walk in the park yesterday and she’s well behaved. Other dogs and animals didn’t bother her, and she allowed me to handle her.” Carly shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. If you agree with us that petting, walking, and just being around dogs is an important part of a daily self-care routine, Carly would love to assist you with taking the very best care of yourself! Ask to meet her today!

Story
Kate is the total package, sweet, smart, and ready for her next big adventure! This young, energetic girl is equal parts playful companion and devoted snuggle buddy. Found as a stray, Kate quickly made friends with her finder and has continued to win hearts with her gentle nature, eagerness to please, and adorable personality. Now thriving in foster, Kate is housetrained, learning crate and working on lots of other fun tricks! She already knows “sit.” She’s working on “stay,” “place,” “down,” “wait,” and “shake,” and responds beautifully to kind guidance and consistency. She’s incredibly smart and loves learning, especially when treats or toys are involved.Kate lives with another dog and is clearly a social butterfly with other pups. She follows her foster sibling everywhere, learning from him and seeking out his company for play, exploration, and naps. In the shelter, she was friendly with several kennelmates and enjoyed playgroups with other dogs. She loves being outside, splashing in a kiddie pool, going on walks, or just sniffing around the yard. But don’t let her energy fool you—she’s also a top-tier napper who wants nothing more than to sleep near (or touching) her person. She’s a velcro dog who checks in often and thrives on affection. Her sweet, expressive eyes say it all: “I love you—please love me back.”Kate is blossoming in her foster home, gaining confidence, overcoming fears, and showing how much trust she’s willing to give when treated kindly. Her ideal home is active but calm, with a patient adopter who will continue her training and celebrate her progress. A confident dog sibling would be a huge plus. Whether you’re headed out for an adventure or settling in for a Netflix marathon, Kate will be right there with you—sweet eyes, wagging tail, and all.
