While we were able to track down his previous owners, they, unfortunately, could no longer keep him—so now he’s on the hunt for a forever home.Max is full of energy and would love an active home where he can run, play, and get plenty of attention. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of sturdy, confident people. However, cats are a bit too exciting for Max, so a feline-free home is best.He’s a sweet, eager boy who's ready to leave the shelter behind and start a new chapter with a loving family. I'm Bobby! I'm a Rottweiler/Great Pyrenees mix (with a bit of Giant Schnauzer and Bernese Mountain Dog). The humans here tell me I have beautiful, loving eyes and am quite the looker! I just know...I love hanging out with people I trust AND KNOW. But I'm fearful of strangers and that fear presents as jumping and barking at strangers, so it takes time to get to know me. But once we're friends, I'll love you forever and be the most loyal companion. I love playing with other dogs, even ones that are smaller than me, because, let's face it, most dogs are smaller than me! So I would love to play with another doggo pal! Due to my extra large size, I would do best in an adult-only home. I try to have good leash manners but I'm a strong boy so I need an equally strong, confident handler in case I see something fun to chase-like a squirrel! I would love for you to come meet me!
