Sweetie was surrendered after she had nine pups. The couple was going through a divorce. She was skin and bones, had an infection, and hook worms. We got her into the vet immediately and on antibiotics. She has finished her meds and worm treatment. Meet Muffin Man! This gentle giant has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone at the shelter! Muffin Man is a big sweetheart who loves attention, cuddles, and being close to his people. Despite his size, he’s a calm and polite walker who doesn’t pull on the leash. He already knows his basic commands like sit and down, and he gets along well with other dogs. Muffin Man isn’t a fan of cats, though, so a feline free home would be best for him. He’s currently available as a foster-to-adopt, as he’s heartworm positive and will need to complete his treatments with our vet staff. With his loving nature and gentle spirit, Muffin Man is sure to bring warmth, loyalty, and lots of cuddles to his forever home. His heartworm treatment and care while at the HSNCF are generously supported by Dina Treloar, one of our incredible volunteers.

Cece is a 5-year-old purebred Rottweiler weighing 125 pounds. Despite her size, she is a mellow, friendly, lovable girl. She gets along with children, smaller dogs, but has not been cat tested. She has been professionally trained and has no aggression at all (she may be reactive to other dogs when she is on a leash, but once corrected, she becomes docile and playful). She travels well in a vehicle and walks well on a leash. Her adoption donation is $400, which includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.. She is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. She is currently in a foster home and we are requesting an approved application prior to a meet and greet. This sweet puppy was found abandoned in a neighborhood on Fourth of July night. She is so sweet with human but very explosively defensive with other animals. She is very emaciated and needs good groceries. She will be soayed when she is healthier. She is in to see our vet today (7/6/22) and we will know more about her. She is timid as though she was mistreated but og so sweet. And seems to be housebroken. We are taking a wild guess about her breed composition. She has doberman features more than anything else. UPDATE: Scrappy LOVES other dogs and cats. He is shy of people at first, someone must not have been very nice to him. He loves to run in the yard. He will need a fenced in yard. Scrappy Doo is amazing once he is settled in. He would require a few play dates to get used to his new surroundings. We are hoping to find a local adopter so we can schedule playdates with Srappy Doo and make a smooth transition into his new home. A scared wild puppy was the first image we saw of Scrappy Do. We included that photo in his listing, it should be the last picture. He was so defeated. He had been captured by a property owner after his parents had attacked a goat on the farm. Our friends at animal control responded to the goat attack... they saw the parent dogs running away but the property owner had caught Scrappy! He was so upset and dispondent. Our friends at the shelter called us when he came in because they knew our fosters have that special touch! Foster mom Barbara has been working her magic and he is doing GREAT now! He has a foster sister, Pebbles, who is quite the doggie ambassador. He is learning how to be a puppy and is loving his new life! He is not a very big boy, and is just so stunningly beautiful! He is not YET fixed but will be as soon as he is old enough! Scrappy is up to date on all shots and is neutered. Scrappy is such a sweet gentle boy. He is looking for his special someone. His foster sister Pebbles has been adopted. He loves other dogs and cats. He is unsure about people at first. He just needs that special someone who will understand that while his life did not start out the best they will make sure the rest of his life is filled with love. He is crate trained. We actually keep the door to his crate open as he feels secure in there. He also loves toys and will collect all th toys he finds and take them to his crate. That is his man cave. ##1366278##
