Story
LOOKING FOR A GOOD LEADER:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 61 lbs. Hi, my name is Doc! I originally came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and was adopted for a while, but it turned out not to be the right fit so I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for the right home!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site having fun and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.              • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like playing with the other dogs I’ve met in the prison/foster training program, and when I’m finished playing, I’ll just lie down.  In my former home, I went to doggie daycare at times, so if you have a dog that would like a friend, let’s meet! / I got along with the cat in my former home though I did chase at times, but they reported it was not aggressively. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I haven’t met children recently so if you have kids 15+ and older, let’s meet and kids should not walk me.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a nice dog who is looking for a nice, dog-savvy family to give me good leadership and clear rules.  I’m a smart pup with working-breed traits, so I’ll thrive with plenty of mental stimulation and things to keep my brain busy.  I have a bit of neck sensitivity, so it’s best not to grab my collar suddenly.  There were 2 minor bites in the past, but I always give clear warning signs first.  My trainer will be glad to explain this and share tips to help set us up for success.  I’m affectionate with most people, a little selective with others, and sometimes get mouthy when I play.  With the right guidance, I’ll be a loyal, loving companion who just needs someone to believe in me. So, if you’re looking for a dog to be active with and you enjoy training as well as being a good leader to your dog, we could be a great fit!  / My energy level is 3-5 in the prison/foster training program, so a nice 30-minute walk when out to potty seems to be what I need.  But remember I do also want mental stimulation such as puzzle toys and games. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash walking manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I really enjoy my training, and I’ve recently started training to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, which is a 10-skill program that teaches dogs good manners at home and in the community.  I’m excited to keep learning and showing off my best manners as I work toward this goal!  I have also been to 2 additional Mostly Mutts after adoption training classes. / My crate manners are good in the prison/foster training program and were also good in my former home. / My potty manners are good in the prison/foster training program and were also reported as good in my former home.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like spending time with people, playing puzzle games and mental stimulation with toys and training together.  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we’ll like doing together, too! / As mentioned above, I’ve struggled with collar reactivity and there have been a select few people I didn’t care for. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.    • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  Not long after my initial rescue as a puppy, it was discovered that I was born with Legg-Perthes Disease and needed double FHO surgery. Thanks to the great care I received, I had my surgery, completed my recovery and physical therapy, and am doing really well!  I am taking an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin to keep my joints feeling their best. I am looking for a wonderful and loving home with a great family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 3, 2025, 10:55 am

Story
Shannon is a young athletic Rottweiler/ Pointer mix looking for her forever family! She has a beautiful coat, and an athletic build! Shannon is estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 55lbs. She is dog friendly, and very playful. Shannon is working on her house training, crate training, and is learning her basic commands. She has a sweet and friendly personality. This deserving girl was picked up as a stray, then ended up at Walton Animal Control. She soon came down with a respiratory illness. BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her, and she is now fully healthy and vetted, and ready for her forever family. Shannon has a medium energy level, and would benefit from a family who will provide her basic training and regular exercise. She can jump very high, and will need a tall privacy fenced yard, and owners who will keep an eye on this mischievous girl. Shannon would likely excel with agility training! Since she still needs to fine tune her manners, no small kids for this girl. If you&#39re interested in adopting Shannon, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.October 5, 2025, 8:53 pm

Story
🐾 Meet Tahoe – The Handsome Heartbreaker with a Big Smile! 🐾 Tahoe is a 4-year-old Rottweiler mix weighing in at 72 pounds of pure love and muscle! He’s a strikingly handsome boy with a black and white coat and a personality that turns heads everywhere he goes. He also happens to be Yukon’s brother, and just like his sibling, he’s been waiting patiently in rescue for his forever family — which is honestly surprising because he’s such a catch! 💪 Tahoe is strong, energetic, and ready for adventure! He’d love a home with a family who enjoys walks, hikes, or outdoor fun — anything to help him stretch his legs and enjoy life to the fullest. Despite his strength, he’s a total sweetheart who adores people and has a charming, goofy side that makes him impossible not to love. 🐶 Tahoe is dog-friendly and enjoys hanging out with other pups. 🐱 As for cats… well, he hasn’t met any yet, so we’re not sure if he’d want to be friends or think they’re suspicious little ninjas. 😅 👧 Because of his size and strength, Tahoe would do best with older children who can handle his enthusiastic hugs and tail wags. He’s the perfect mix of playful, loyal, and affectionate — a big teddy bear who’s ready to share all his love (and maybe some drool) with his new family. ❤️ 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available to other states 💰 Adoption fee: $150 ✨ Apply today to meet Tahoe — your adventure buddy, walking partner, and best friend for life! ✨
