Born, we believe, in 2023 and currently weighing about 57 pounds, she has an athletic build, a gorgeous coat, and an even more beautiful personality! Shannon is sweet, friendly, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a playful spirit, enjoys being active, and would love a family that will include her on daily walks, hikes, or other adventures. After a day of fun, she's just as happy to relax and be by your side. This smart girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and was professionally trained at Rucker's Dog Training, where she learned excellent manners and many commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a well-behaved dog. Shannon's story began with uncertainty. She was found as a stray and brought to Walton Animal Control, where her future was far from guaranteed. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in time. Now all she needs is the one thing she has never truly had--a loving forever home. Shannon has so much love to give and is ready to share her loyal heart with a family of her own. Meet Mishka! Mishka is a loving, adorable 5-year-old Rottweiler. This girl is the definition of sweet. She absolutely loves her people and is a friend to everyone she meets. Before Mishka came to Furkids, she was found as a stray with a severely injured back leg. To give her the best chance at a pain free life, her leg had to be amputated. But to Mishka, it's not a big deal at all. She gets around just fine on three legs! Mishka is still new to us, so we're getting to know more about her everyday. Mishka currently weighs 57 pounds and her estimated birthdate is July 2021. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Jayda was born April 26, 2024. She just turned 2 years old. We adopted her from the Dekalb County Animal Shelter in December 2024 when she was just 7 months. According to shelter records, she was owner surrendered 1 month prior. Jayda is a shy girl but she's very sweet. She doesn't like being alone but she's very playful. Jayda needs a pet parent who will be able to spend more time with her. In our home, she's alone most of the day because we all leave for work or school, which causes anxiety for her. I'm not sure what happened to her before we adopted her. Her pet parent needs to be someone that can sit and cuddle with her most of the day.

Jax was acquired by my son and my wife in 2020 from the Humane Society. He was 2 at the time. Apparently his first owner passed away. Jax is a calm and loving dog. He gets along fine with the two cats we have. We keep him in a crate during the day when we are at work, but he is not usually penned at night. Jax does not get the love and attention he deserves; he needs to go to a better home. I am willing to keep Jax for as long as it takes because he deserves a good home, not a shelter.
