Born, we believe, in 2023 and currently weighing about 57 pounds, she has an athletic build, a gorgeous coat, and an even more beautiful personality! Shannon is sweet, friendly, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a playful spirit, enjoys being active, and would love a family that will include her on daily walks, hikes, or other adventures. After a day of fun, she's just as happy to relax and be by your side. This smart girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and was professionally trained at Rucker's Dog Training, where she learned excellent manners and many commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a well-behaved dog. Shannon's story began with uncertainty. She was found as a stray and brought to Walton Animal Control, where her future was far from guaranteed. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in time. Now all she needs is the one thing she has never truly had--a loving forever home. Shannon has so much love to give and is ready to share her loyal heart with a family of her own. Meet Mishka! Mishka is a loving, adorable 5-year-old Rottweiler. This girl is the definition of sweet. She absolutely loves her people and is a friend to everyone she meets. Before Mishka came to Furkids, she was found as a stray with a severely injured back leg. To give her the best chance at a pain free life, her leg had to be amputated. But to Mishka, it's not a big deal at all. She gets around just fine on three legs! Mishka is still new to us, so we're getting to know more about her everyday. Mishka currently weighs 57 pounds and her estimated birthdate is July 2021. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Stella is a very loving dog. Had her since birth and is house trained pretty well. She’s never scared my child or got aggressive towards him nor me and my wife. Her shedding can get a little annoying if not brushed at least twice a week. She’s still full of energy and a really smart dog. Jayda was born April 26, 2024. She just turned 2 years old. We adopted her from the Dekalb County Animal Shelter in December 2024 when she was just 7 months. According to shelter records, she was owner surrendered 1 month prior. Jayda is a shy girl but she's very sweet. She doesn't like being alone but she's very playful. Jayda needs a pet parent who will be able to spend more time with her. In our home, she's alone most of the day because we all leave for work or school, which causes anxiety for her. I'm not sure what happened to her before we adopted her. Her pet parent needs to be someone that can sit and cuddle with her most of the day.

Hi! My name is Bolt! I am a 1-year-old Shepherd/Doberman mix. I was brough to the shelter as a stray. My initial day here di not go so well. I ended up getting away from the people that brought me in and made half of the staff chase me on and off the property. Probably why they named me Bolt. I am a very shy boy and don't like how loud it is here at the shelter. However that does not mean I'm not the best boy in the world the moment I leave the kennels. I absolutely love people and will solicit attention like there's no tomorrow. I'll even roll over for belly rubs! I am very playful too and will play tag, but I will tell you, it is definitely better to keep me on a leash because I can be a bit difficult to catch otherwise. I also may have a tendency to try and escape, so keeping leashed is for the better. We aren't quite sure how I would do with other dogs and children, so if you're interested we recommend bringing all human and canine family members in when you visit! Until then, I'll spend my days befriending the staff at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, until I meet the right person and find my forever home! Hope to meet you soon friends!!
