Story
Meet Maple – a beautiful Rottie mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! 🐾Maple recently had a meet-and-greet with another dog and absolutely loved the experience. She’s especially excited to make friends with dogs her own size who are ready to romp, wrestle, and play. Big-dog energy is her vibe! (She would do best in a home without small animals including cats.)Like many shelter dogs, Maple can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first. She just needs a little time to observe and warm up — once she does, her fun, spunky, goofy personality shines through. She’s full of playful antics, loyal to her people, and happiest when she knows her place and routine.Maple has those classic Rottie quirks — smart, expressive, sometimes a little stubborn — but incredibly devoted and eager to bond. With structure, consistency, and lots of love, she will absolutely thrive and become the most loyal companion you could ask for.If you’re looking for a playful, spirited girl who will keep you laughing and love you fiercely, Maple might just be your perfect match. 💛An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00

Weight: 96Lbs Meet Boosie — 9 months old, approximately the size of a small horse, and emotionally convinced he is a lapdog. This Rottweiler mix is already VERY large and VERY affectionate, meaning when he loves you, he loves you with full-body impact. Personal space? Never heard of her. If you sit down, congratulations — you now have 85+ pounds of devotion attempting to gently park itself on your internal organs. Boosie knows how to sit. He knows how to lay down. He knows how to look at you like he pays the mortgage. He is smart. He is handsome. He is baby. In summary: Large. In charge. Knows his commands. Will absolutely sit on you anyway. 💪🐾 Dogs: Must meet all pups in the home. Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown, bring the whole family in to meet me!!

Story
Lucy is a great dog. She is playful(sometimes rough) like walks and toy. She loves to chew. She get along with other dogs and cats but doesn’t know her size. So she does play rough. She has never bit anyone or another animal. I just have very little time to spend with her. I work all kinds of hours at my job. I am in recovery so I spend a lot of time at meeting and events to help me stay sober. I feel absolutely terrible doing this but Lucy doesn’t deserve to be alone 18 hours a day. When I got her as a puppy in Sept of 2024 this was not the life I had in mind for her. The adoption fee can be adjusted possibly.

He’s a treat enthusiast and, once he gets to know you, he’ll be your loyal companion by your side. Come meet Hank and see how wonderful he is!
