Story
Meet Shirley Temple: a Rottweiler with a big smile, a bigger heart, and enough enthusiasm to power a small city. 🐾 Much like her famous namesake, Shirley Temple knows how to make an entrance. Whether she's trotting over to say hello, investigating what everyone is up to, or simply existing in the general vicinity, she has a way of brightening the room. Shirley is all about living life to the fullest. Walk? Amazing. Toys? Incredible. Snacks? Life-changing. She approaches every day with the kind of excitement most people reserve for winning the lottery. If something fun is happening, Shirley would like to be included. If nothing fun is happening, Shirley is willing to take matters into her own paws. Despite her size, she's really just a goofy girl who wants to love and be loved. She enjoys spending time with her people, soaking up attention, and making sure nobody ever feels lonely when she's around. Her tail may as well be powered by pure happiness. Shirley has the perfect combination of playful energy and sweet affection. One minute she's ready for an adventure, and the next she's leaning in for pets like she's known you forever. She has a talent for making friends, collecting admirers, and reminding everyone that life is better when you greet it with a wagging tail. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion with a joyful spirit, a goofy streak, and a heart as big as she is, Shirley Temple is ready to steal the show. Dogs: Yes, although we rec. a meet and greet! Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown, we rec. a meet and greet!

Story
Harley and her mother were abandoned with a friend of my aunt who couldn't take care of them long term. We took Harley not understanding how active she would be. We have two other dogs that she gets along with well. However, she needs a more active household. She is very loving and cuddly. She likes to jump, climb and chew. She does not like to share her toys.

Story
Ziva is a rottweiler shepherd mix. She is between 3 to 4 years old. She is a local surrender. She came to us heavily pregnant. She weighs around 66lbs. She does have a fear of men. We have been working with her to build up her confidence with men so she will be more comfortable around them. She has been doing great at gaining her confidence around other men. The man will just have to move slowly with her until he gains her trust. But when you do, she will be your best friend. She is house broken. She walks great on the leash. She is a super sweet girl. She craves attention. She will follow you everywhere you go. She has your typical rottweiler attitude. She can be very stubborn sometimes getting her to do what you want her to do. She loves staying by your side or at laying on your feet. She is good with kids. She does okay with cats. good with other dogs. She is fixed and UTD on all shots. her adoption fee is $375.

Story
This sweet girl’s name is Cornbread, and just like her name, she’s warm, comforting, and hard not to love. 🐶 Cornbread is a 4–5 year old female Pitbull/Rottweiler mix who is a very good girl looking for the right home to call her own. She’s a strong, beautiful dog with a big personality and a lot of love to give to her people. Once she trusts you, she’ll be a loyal companion who enjoys being part of the family. Because of her size and energy, we recommend a home with no children under 10 years old. Cornbread would also do best in a cat-free home, and if you already have another dog, a meet and greet will be required to make sure everyone gets along. Cornbread is ready for a family that understands larger breeds and will give her the structure, love, and attention she deserves. ❤️ If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Cornbread might just be your girl!

Meet Sharon — your couch-loving best friend 💕Sharon is as sweet as they come and happiest right by your side (especially on the couch!). She’s smart, playful, and loves a good game of fetch—but when playtime is over, she’s all about snuggles.Sharon will do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She has done well with a very calm, submissive male dog, but overall she prefers to be the queen of her castle—no cats, please. She’s leash-trained, crate-trained, and house-trained, and her manners improve more every day. She can get a little excited and may jump to say hello, but with consistency, she continues to shine. Sharon would love a fenced yard or regular leash walks (she’s not one to roam free). She is incredibly loyal and protective of her people. After raising 6 puppies of her own, this devoted girl is more than ready to be someone’s baby. Sharon is around 6\7 years oldIf you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion to cuddle up with, Sharon might just be your perfect match. 🐾If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.
