She’s a strong, beautiful dog with a big personality and a lot of love to give to her people. Once she trusts you, she’ll be a loyal companion who enjoys being part of the family. Because of her size and energy, we recommend a home with no children under 10 years old. Cornbread would also do best in a cat-free home, and if you already have another dog, a meet and greet will be required to make sure everyone gets along. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, and I carry some of the signs of being used as a breeding dog in the past. But through it all, I’ve never stopped loving people.I was recently returned to the shelter due to changes in my owner’s health, so through no fault of my own, I’m looking for a home again.I’m incredibly affectionate and loyal, and once I bond with you, I’ll be your shadow. Cookie has all the great qualities of a dog: Loyalty, playfulness, intelligence, and of course- Goofiness. He earned the title of "Cookie Monster" the day he was rescued as a stray. The way we earned his trust was with a LOT of animal crackers. This boy loves to play with toys; His all time favorite being tennis balls. He is such a happy- go- lucky boy. We estimate him as being 3 years old, but he may be younger than that. We have him down as being a Chocolate Lab/ Rottweiler mix, but that is just our guess. What we know for sure is that he is a cutie! He has been overweight since he came to the shelter, so an active home where he can get to a healthier weight would be ideal. Cookie would prefer to be the only animal in the home.
