Story
Adoption fee SponsoredTwyla is just over a year old and 85 lbs. She is currently fostered as an only dog, however has frequent play dates and does great with other dogs! We would suggest a yard for Twyla as she likes to play and is a big gal. She is good with kids, although again due to her size we would suggest older kids so they don't get knocked over. She has been to multiple adoption events so far and was definitely a crowd favorite! Don't miss your chance to meet Twyla, run over to www.k911foundation.com/adopt to fill out the application!July 19, 2024, 8:37 pm

Story
Meet Guinny! This sweet boy was a multi-time stray at a local pound, frequently reclaimed and then found roaming again. Unfortunately on his latest journey, he was hit by a car and severely injured. We were able to transfer him into our care and get him the lifesaving surgeries he needed to fix his punctured lung and broken leg. Now he is a healthy, happy boy. Please consider giving this boy the safe, stable home he seriously needs! Guinny is incredibly sweet, potty trained, and very dog friendly.

Story
Meet Juneau! This sweet girl came to us as a stray through the Osawatomie Animal Shelter who was never reclaimed. She is younger and very silly. She would love an active family to call her own! Juneau is incredibly sweet to everyone. So far she hasn't made many dog friends and we think she might prefer a home all to herself without other pets.

Story
There are two things in life Timber loves. Peanut butter and her people...in that order Peanut butter is life! Single guy needing a ride or die? Timber's your girl! Single lady that loves to walk? Timber will be by your side every step of the way! A couple looking to change the world for a dog? She's got ya! We believe Timber is a rottweiler mix, she's got a big ol beefy head. She's 5 years old, and over 100 lbs. She's pretty quiet unless she needs to potty or she wants peanut butter. She's great left out of the kennel and is housetrained. She has been around kids, but truly does NOT know her size. She also prefers to be the only dog, she doesn't like to share her peanut butter or huggies...which means more love and more peanut butter for the two of you!!! No sharing!!

Story
Hello! I'm Bronson! My foster mom believes I'm a mix of Rottweiler and American Bully, and I'm about one year old. I boast a sleek black coat and the most adorable ears that perk up when I'm joyful, not to mention my large paws! If you're seeking a dog who loves to play as much as he loves to cuddle and relax, look no further-I'm your perfect match! My foster mom affectionately refers to me as her 'living weighted blanket' because I'm happiest lying across her chest for hours. I also enjoy snuggling on top of my foster dog siblings when they're up for it. At my foster home, I have two canine companions that I absolutely adore! We spend hours playing, which is my absolute favorite activity-I love being chased, wrestling, and I even make the cutest play growl! Weighing in at around 80 pounds, I'd fit best in a home without small children to avoid any accidental bumps. I'd be overjoyed to have another dog to play with in my new home-it's the best way for me to expend my energy! I do require regular walks or a fenced yard to run and play for proper exercise. I'm still mastering basic manners, such as not jumping up when excited, refraining from using my mouth during play, and avoiding chewing on things when unsupervised. But hey, I'm just a puppy going through my 'teenage phase,' right? With a bit of training and patience from my new family, I'm confident I can overcome these habits. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and I know basic commands like 'sit,' 'shake,' and 'lay down.' Plus, I'm quite good at walking on a leash! Having lived in three different homes through no fault of my own, I'm now eagerly waiting to settle into my forever home! If you are interested in knowing more about this dog, please submit an application. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS-A-425 Once applications are approved, meet and greets can be scheduled. Bio current as of 06/04/2024.

Roxy is one unique girl who's had a rough go being in our boarding facility for several years now, which is never good. That said, her personality is still that of a smiley happy dog, who loves to go on walks with our volunteers. Roxy was recently fostered in a home for the holidays where she did very well, having no accidents and behaving like an angel! Roxy can be a little nervous and unsure of men, which just means men should give her time to familiarize with them, and respect her by moving slowly, and not acting like an idiot or aggressive (I'm a guy btw, I can vouch we are idiots at times). Roxy needs someone patient, but once she connects with you, she will be your best friend and love you in the most special way. If you think you are that unique opportunity for Roxy, she's been waiting!Approximate Birthdate: Oct 2017Adoption Fee: Roxy's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Kansas City Crime Lab!TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. For more information please fill out an application.July 19, 2024, 11:10 pm
