Story
Oh, sweet Bubba! He is such a handsome caramel and black Rottweiler mix of ~7.5 years and ~55 pounds who came to us through @Saving Death Row Dogs in Topeka, Kansas. He's an amazing boy who deserves an equally amazing home. Bubba just adores children! His perfect day is being with his humans, running in the grass, and lounging with his toys. Bubba loves playing on the couch and rearranging the covers, too. Oh, and giving his human friends kisses! He's been around cats and does fine. Because they are scary to him, though, Bubba will not do well with other dogs in his home. Text or call The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about Bubba. If you'll foster him, all of his expenses will be paid. Bubba's adoption fee is also being paid by a friend and we can transport him from KC, if needed. 💕 #thepetconnection #RottweilerMix #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #DogLovers #KansasDogs #PetAdoption #FosterAPet #DogRescue #KCAdopt #DogsofInstagram

Story
🚨WANTED: Peanut Butter Supplier with Couch Access 🚨 Introducing Timber – 100 pounds of love, loyalty, and peanut butter-fueled enthusiasm. This 7-year-old Rottweiler mix has two priorities in life: Peanut butter You (but mostly peanut butter) Timber’s the total package: 💪 Beefy head? Check. 💤 Chill vibes? Check. 🚽 Only barks when it’s important (like potty time or snack o’clock)? Double check. 🏠 Housetrained and trustworthy out of a kennel? You bet your Skippy. Looking for a loyal walking buddy who also doubles as a living weighted blanket? Timber’s your girl. Single guy? She’ll be your peanut butter-smeared wingwoman. Single gal? She’s already got her leash—let’s hit the trail. Couple looking to give a dog a dream life? Timber’s been manifesting you since 2023. BUT: 🐶 No other dogs, please. Timber doesn’t share snuggles, snacks, or emotional support privileges. She's a monogamous queen. 👶 She's fine with kids but is blissfully unaware that she’s basically a furry boulder on legs. Small children may be gently steamrolled with love. So if you're ready for unconditional love, endless snuggles, and a lifelong obsession with peanut butter... Timber is ready for you. Adopt her. Bring snacks. Prepare for the best decision of your life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Remy is a playful pup who was found on a snow packed country road covered in icicles in December 2025. She was not microchipped and reportedly was wandering around the nearest town a few days prior. She is currently being fostered in a home with children and a dog. She has been spayed and vaccines are up to date.  Remy is playful and often flops on the ground in front of your feet to demand pets. She has responded well to training for simple commands such as "sit" and "shake". Remy has been very patient with young children, letting them pet her and often giving them kisses. She has met her foster home's dog and is curious about him; unfortunately, he is wary of her.  Remy is looking for a home that can give her the attention and love that she deserves, and hopefully a few playmates!  The animal listed on this page was listed as a courtesy to help find the animal a home. Story
Vicky is just over a year old and she is full of SPUNK. This girl will keep you on your toes. If you want a lazy, calm dog...she is not girl! That isn't to say she can't calm down, because she can...but if she has a choice she wants to go and see what life has to offer. Vicky is dog unsure. She doesn't seem to have had proper socialization with dogs and has no idea how to behave. She's totally all about her person though. She knows how to sit and she is HIGHLY food motivated. I mean I think this girl would do anything for her kibbles! She's got the energy and the passion to learn a lot. Vicky is probably 65-70 pounds. She's spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Vicky's adoption fee is $200. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs Campus My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all!- I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- I already know some basic commands! My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home to ensure that we can be buddies. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises.- If you have kids in the home between 6 and 9 years old, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.Hi, I’m Dex! I’m a 4-year-old pittie mix with a gentle heart and a silly, sweet soul. Because I’m a bit on the shy side, the world can feel a little overwhelming to me at first. I just need a patient human who is willing to give me the time and space I need to feel safe. Once I get comfortable with you, my true personality shines through; I’m a total lovebug!I love being near my favorite people and sharing quiet moments together. Once I know I can trust you, get ready for my goofy, cuddly side to come out! Some of my absolute favorite things in life are playing with my toys and going for car rides with the window cracked to catch all the good smells. I’m also open to making new canine friends, but I do need to meet any potential dog siblings here first just to make sure we`re a great match. If you have a little patience to spare and a lot of love to give, I promise to repay you with endless snuggles, silly antics, and a lifetime of devotion. I’d love to meet you at Wayside Waifs! Love, Dex
